Found this place through word of mouth. Not a big beer drinker myself but really liked the atmosphere and decor of his place. Plenty of choices on the menu. I had several heavy meals the past couple of days so made some lighter choices here. Apps we tried were the avocado roll and shrimp hush puppies. Both good. Main meal... More

This is a big place and it can get really loud. I was with a table of 7 and they sat a bacholor party of about 15 right next to us. Could not hear each other well. The food was good and so was the service.

Hi Maria, Thanks for the review. I'm glad you were happy with the food and service. Atmosphere can get a bit challenging if you're seated next to a bachelor party - unless of course your part of a bachelorette party. Parties do happen at the Creek and unfortunately we don't have private rooms for some of our more rambunctious guests.... More

We were celebrating a belated Father's Day and this was stop number two of our adventure. I knew my husband would love this place- beer, pub food/atmosphere and a brewery to boot! I was right. Food was really good! We had two different types of burgers -yum! A salad - really good and then the Wurst around the world platter... More

Hi monkeyboobs, Thanks for your review and being a Top Contributor too! The beer is usually 38 degrees cming from the tap but we don't chill the flight glasses and that brings the temp of what's being served up. We should consider that - just have to figure out what kind and where to put the chiller. Most of our... More

We just stopped for lunch and grabbed the brewery tour first (it's every day at 12:30). Quite interesting. Afterwards the 3 of us had 2 different burgers and an order of fish and chips. The food was very nice, not overcooked as so often experienced, and in particular the French fries were really good, obviously home made. We also had... More

Hi gunbag, Thanks for the kind review and I'm glad you had a good visit to Barley Creek. The Rescue IPA is my favorite as well. Will continue to work on the right mix of training and staffing levels so that when we do get busy, and we seem to be doing that more often, we have enough staff on... More

We were traveling between NYC and Niagra Falls and searching for a nice, non-chain restaurant for lunch. This was a nice, refreshing stop for our family (2 adults + 2 kids, 8 & 11) and not too far off the highway (about a mile). Price was reasonable and service was good. We would definitely come back if in the area.

Hi Kelli V, You are my kind of people. I'm always looking for the different and unique eating establishments. Did the kids find the game room or the wiffle ball field in the back yard? There's also a water theme park right up the road if you have more time in the next road trip. Cheers and thanks for the... More

Our last evening in the Pocono's we ate here. The beer I had was great and my fiancee's drink was great as well. Dinner was excellent and a great way to wrap up our vacation.

This was my third visit to Barley Creek and I decided it was time I leave a review. I live locally and had friends visiting from out of town. I purposely planned our afternoon around the park across the street and this restaurant as I knew it was family-friendly for lunch and the food is good. I ordered the Bavarian... More

Hi BornToTravel79, That was indeed a fun review to read. I especially like the reference to the national chain that you consciously decided to avoid. We do free tours and beer samplings everyday at 12:30 and I for one think we brew a beer that you'll like we just need to find it. Not sure how old the kids are,... More

We went there strictly to eat and not for their brewery tour. My husband tried one of their own brewed beers and enjoyed it. The food was average and the service, while friendly, was also just average. It was ok but nothing we came home raving about.

Hi Didojen, Thanks for your review. When the service is spot on everything gets better and most of the time my team gets it right. We're always going to be working on that side of the business so I hope you come back and we give you a reason to bump us up a notch or two. Thanks again for... More

Beautiful restaurant and brewery (tours daily at 1230 by the way). Setting: Party of 8 with two kids (18 & 11). Two adults having beverages at lunch with not too many people in the place at 1pm on a Saturday. The server was really really nice, but once we got our waters, soda and a beer, returned once for the... More

Thanks RoadTripper516, Again Thanks. I appreciate the thought that went into your review and will be working on stepping up our game in terms of service. A little more management, more training and we know that it's an ongoing challenge that will continually need to be tweaked in order to get better. Yes the Pint Size Park is indeed fun.... More
