Free to go here, and hopefully get better food and service. This place has plummeted under inept ownership in the last few years. The current owners have sold the restaurant!!! We went there Sunday, after calling to make sure they were open, and were told "Come on in." Upon our arrival, we were then told that there was a tea... More

The restaurant itself is beautiful, but the food is terrible and overpriced. When they first opened, it was much better, but they have gone downhill quickly. Unfortunately in the town of Tamaqua, this is one of the only option for a "nice dinner" that doesn't include pizza. I am surprised they are still open.

Cannot comment on the food but the beer was very nice and the staff very pleasant. The building has been well restored and reminds me of my favourite pub at home.

I used to go here all the time and it was always great. I haven't been there in a few years and I picked there to go out for my birthday dinner. It just isn't like it used to be, the food was lousy. One person at our table ordered the prime rib and the middle of it was completely... More

I really want the Train Station to have good food! I REALLY do! Sadly, the management does not seemingly share my wishes. Once again, I went to the Station, and while I had a great time, that was due to the music and the companionship of two of my brothers and my sister-in-law. It was amazing lousy tonight! The first... I have to rate the employees as basically unfriendly. I was going to order a burger, but at one half pound size, I balked. No wonder we are getting so overweight in this country, we need to go back to normal size portions! I found the prices a little high, but the nostalgic atmosphere was definitely worth something. The photographs... More

Thursday, my garden club had the misfortune to go to the Restaurant at the Station after visiting Stonehedge Gardens. It seemed like such a nice place for a group of ladies to dine. Was I wrong! It was a complete disaster; there were 13 of us and I had confirmed my reservation the day before, so they had two waitresses... More

My wife and I were up in the area, and after spending the day viewing the beautiful fall foliage, decided to stop in here for dinner. The highlight of the dinner was seeing an old steam engine train as it passed the restaurant, just steps from the door. As the name implies, the restaurant is located in the old Tamaqua... More
