The inside is low-lights which gives a romantic, quaint atmosphere. The food and service was excellent, but it is pricey. But you pay for the atmosphere.

If Pocono Elegant is a style, the Stone Bar has it. It is a small place with a great outdoor deck for cool evenings. Inside there was live music on Friday evening and a sparkling bar. Appetizers were wonderful,. I had baked brie with apples and sausage. Dinner was even better. I had the half duck. Perfectly cooked, nice sauce,... More

We went there recently for my birthday. 5:00 reservation gave us 20% off our bill. I had the duck, he had the chicken. Both were well prepared and delicious. We also had appetizers, for me 3 oysters, $1 each and he ate my free birthday lobster tail because I'm allergic to lobster. Dessert was shared by us, a free sampler... More

There isn't a lot of choice for fine dining in the Poconos. It has become overrun with chains. The stone bar is a good choice. Unlike other reviews I would highly recommend the wine cellar because it is quieter and a bit more intimate than the bar restaurant upstairs. I never plays much stock in someone who writes a review... More

Girlfriend and I decided to splurge on dinner but both Bolete and The Apollo were booked solid, so we decided to check this place out based on some friends' recommendations. She had the duck and I had the lamb - both were OK, not fantastic for their respective price tags. What really struck the both of us as REALLY odd... More

The food was excellent. I ordered salmon, my husband had garlic chicken. You could tell the chef took time to prepare each dish. The food tasted fresh and delicious. The atmosphere was amazing. After a long day of playing in the snow, dinner by a fireplace was all we needed. The service was great, I felt like I didn't have... More

When we first moved to the area, this was our favorite restaurant, but then they changed the menu. And not for the better. The last four times we have been there (and this was our last), the food was mediocre. I had a steak there once that was too fatty to eat. Then, there is the service... The wine cellar,... More

My GPS could not locate Andrew Moore's Stone Bar Inn and the directions given by our hotel were not concise and it was only through several phone calls to the Inn that we found our way. afterwards, we were sorry we did. Service was spotty, the décor old and fetid and the food not as advertised. For a chef with... More

Dining at the Stone Bar has always been great. It's a place to enjoy on special occasions. Plan ahead and you can get the table in the kitchen. We've dine in there a few times and it's fun to watch how professional the kitchen is run and see your food make. I recommend it.
