Food good but pricey

Overall a nice restaurant but a bit small. French onion soup was good except that the onions were not cut small enough and laid at the bottom of the bowl. It was a Tuesday so there was no wait at 6pm but as time went on it did fill up (due to a concert at Sherman Theatre). My main was... read more

The restaurant was cold but intimate. The butternut soup was very good. My husband's onion soup was good. The red beet salad was good and The roasted potatoes were good but salty. I got steak with Béarnaise sauce. The sauce was mediocre and the steak was tasteless and full of gristle and fat. A very cheap piece of meat served... More

We made reservations for a party of 7 & we waited 1 hr & 45 mins for our food. When we got our food, it was cold. To top it all off, the place was being heated with SPACE HEATERS!! The place isn't very big with about 8 tables max. There was one waitress & one cook on a Valentines... More

Excellent food and superb service. Big city folks in a small town restaurant. It's BYOB so make sure you don't forget.

We should have known when the bread was served with margarine.. Four people with different appetizers and main courses - all were tasteless. The best part of the meal were the wines we brought.

The food at Le Persil Bistro is good, but nothing special however. The hostess was very nice, but the waiting time for the meal to be served was way too long regardless that only 4 people were dining.

Not a french technique in sight. The biggest disappointment was the food. The atmosphere is cosy, nice music, almost average service but if the menu lived up to it's descriptives even a little bit, we wouldn't have been so dissatisfied. We were planning to have an intimate Wedding dinner there, but not now. Hockey puck supermarket bread & butter to... More

Hoping to find a nice BYOB French within driving distance from our home, but sorely disappointed by the food. This is French cuisine only for the uninitiated. Nice atmosphere, decor, music, service and the menu reads well ... many classic French dishes. But when the bread arrives and it's frozen commercial rolls baked on premises, I'm afraid we're off to... More

What a great place to dine in Stroudsburg! This is the only French restaurant in the area and provides you a wondeful experience. It is a family owned restaurant with family members hosting, serving, and cooking. THE BEST FRENCH ONION SOUP I EVER HAD! Yummy!! A must! Their Squash Bisque is excellent too!! The soup portions are huge and could... More

It is a tiny BYOB place with great food. Pretty much everything we ordered was delicious, and desserts for to die for. Just beware that certain desserts need to be pre-ordered the morning of your visit.
