Not a french technique in sight. The biggest disappointment was the food. The atmosphere is cosy, nice music, almost average service but if the menu lived up to it's descriptives even a little bit, we wouldn't have been so dissatisfied. We were planning to have an intimate Wedding dinner there, but not now. Hockey puck supermarket bread & butter to... More

Hoping to find a nice BYOB French within driving distance from our home, but sorely disappointed by the food. This is French cuisine only for the uninitiated. Nice atmosphere, decor, music, service and the menu reads well ... many classic French dishes. But when the bread arrives and it's frozen commercial rolls baked on premises, I'm afraid we're off to... More

What a great place to dine in Stroudsburg! This is the only French restaurant in the area and provides you a wondeful experience. It is a family owned restaurant with family members hosting, serving, and cooking. THE BEST FRENCH ONION SOUP I EVER HAD! Yummy!! A must! Their Squash Bisque is excellent too!! The soup portions are huge and could... More

It is a tiny BYOB place with great food. Pretty much everything we ordered was delicious, and desserts for to die for. Just beware that certain desserts need to be pre-ordered the morning of your visit.

We had a pleasant evening here at not too great a price, since it is BYOB. The menu is French, but the servers know nothing of the language. The food is 'French' but the strong suspicion - my dining companion being part French - is that this has all come from recipe books not exposure at a French kitchen. So... More

How is the food at Le Persil Bistro? Wish I could tell you, but... My husband and I were turned away at 8:45pm on a summer Friday night, although the restaurant advertises as being open till 10pm. We were given no explanation except for 'the cook is no longer cooking'... Nothing further, no 'sorry for inconvenience' , although the waitress... More

As my husband is not one for french cuisine I was excited to visit Le Persil when my friend was visiting. Based on the reviews we had high expectations and were looking forward to a great meal and dining experience. When we first walked in I was afraid we entered through the wrong door as the restaurant is tinier and... More

During a trip to Stroudsburg we stumbled upon this restaurant and were very glad we did. The atmosphere was cozy and comfortable and the food was excellent. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone going to this area.

Joined to review this restaurant - it's that good! Cozy little bistro, call ahead for reservations. Everything we've had here is top notch. Family owned, very nice staff & great food. What more can you ask for? In my opinion, it's the BEST restaurant in the area.

My bf and I had been wine tasting throughout the area all afternoon and ended up near by Le Persil so I booked a table via opentable.com with about 20 minutes to spare (on a Saturday night at 7:30pm mind you). I thought this was strange that we were able to get a table so easily at such a prime... More
