Awesome find in Stroudsburg

We have traveled to Stroudsburg several times now to eat at Le Persil. The food is amazing. Our first visit I had the Coquilles St Jacques and Coq au Vin and my husband the Escargot and Crab Croquettes-all superb. Last night we shared the Shrimp with Avocado salsa (not at all like Mexican... read more

The WORST dining experience of my life. We had reservations 4 days in advance. Only One waitress. Sat down and asked to have a couple of bottles of wine uncorked-long 10 minute wait. Brought the bottles to the table-but no wine glasses another 10 minute wait. Finally brought the wine glasses. Asked for an ice bucket for the white wine... More

We went here primarily due to its location near the Sherman theater. We waited for over an hour for our food. When it arrived it was cold and had be sent back. When we finally had a chance to eat, the food was terrible. We should have known what awaited after we received dinner rolls that looked and tasted like... More

Overall a nice restaurant but a bit small. French onion soup was good except that the onions were not cut small enough and laid at the bottom of the bowl. It was a Tuesday so there was no wait at 6pm but as time went on it did fill up (due to a concert at Sherman Theatre). My main was... More

The restaurant was cold but intimate. The butternut soup was very good. My husband's onion soup was good. The red beet salad was good and The roasted potatoes were good but salty. I got steak with Béarnaise sauce. The sauce was mediocre and the steak was tasteless and full of gristle and fat. A very cheap piece of meat served... More

We made reservations for a party of 7 & we waited 1 hr & 45 mins for our food. When we got our food, it was cold. To top it all off, the place was being heated with SPACE HEATERS!! The place isn't very big with about 8 tables max. There was one waitress & one cook on a Valentines... More

Excellent food and superb service. Big city folks in a small town restaurant. It's BYOB so make sure you don't forget.

We should have known when the bread was served with margarine.. Four people with different appetizers and main courses - all were tasteless. The best part of the meal were the wines we brought.

The food at Le Persil Bistro is good, but nothing special however. The hostess was very nice, but the waiting time for the meal to be served was way too long regardless that only 4 people were dining.

Not a french technique in sight. The biggest disappointment was the food. The atmosphere is cosy, nice music, almost average service but if the menu lived up to it's descriptives even a little bit, we wouldn't have been so dissatisfied. We were planning to have an intimate Wedding dinner there, but not now. Hockey puck supermarket bread & butter to... More
