It advertises as casual dining but it is country club quality! The menu was unique, but not intimidating! Appeared to be family friendly.

Even though it was a hot summer day, the allure of this place won us (a party of 6) over! We imagine how wonderful it must be on a cold, Pennsylvania night! Old, giant, brick farmhouse. Comfortable inside. We had the wonderfully delicious Tomato Bisque soup. That was the best part of the meal! As well as the homemade desserts-... More

Recommend you visit this restaurant when in the Lancaster area. We lunched outdoors. Great service... accommodating and attentive. Nice varied menu. Decent wine list. Delicious sandwiches (really packed). We'll be back.

The menu here is for every palate. We had the Delmonico steak that was cooked to perfection. No over seasoning. The waitress we had could not do enough to please us, very friendly atmosphere too.

Dinner started off with delicious Tomato Bisque soup and Manhattan Crab Chowder. Sadly it was followed by salads of old lettuce and dried out vegetables. The Shepherd's Pie and Shrimp Penne were a little better than average. On a positive note the service was very good. We will not return.

Simply put, the wait staff is very attentive, the food is delicious (we had the tomato bisque soup, steak salad, spinach salad and pineapple upside down cake) and the outdoor seating is fantastic (the view is great and the tables are under a large tree). Highly recommend this restaurant if in the Lancaster area!

Do not get caught in the tourist traps and with chain restaurants. Take a 5 to 10 minute ride down Hwy 896 to Historic Dr and enjoy some really good food in a classy environment. There were 4 of us and we all came out with positive responses for our dinners. Food came out quick and hot and was great.... More

Waitress Katie was easily the best server we've had in the past year of dining experiences! She had the rare ability to observe us from afar, yet cater perfectly to our needs without unnecessary interruptions at the table. Their craft beer menu was what attracted me to Fireside Tavern in the first place. As we discussed their beer selections, Katie... More

This was our second visit during the month and both dinners were equally as good. Don't expect a four star meal, this is more like comfort food and reasonable priced, service on both occasions was very good. Our server was right on the ball with everything she did. We will always come back when we go to Lancaster area
