I hate leaving bad reviews. Hate it. But our experience here was not what I had hoped for. And I do not think my expectations were too lofty. I chose this location to be a special dinner for my Father and brother. It was dad's birthday. To be fair, we were there late. I had called early and made reservations... More

Food is prepared well and portion size good. Service very good, friendly, and attentive. Pricing is upper scale but worth overall experience. Atmosphere is relaxed, beautiful historic inn located in a small historic town, close to many tourist attractions: Strasburg Railroad, Sight and Sound Theater, American Music Theater, Fulton Opera House, Amish Village, and many outlet shopping opportunities.

This tavern/restaurant has great atmosphere for that dinner with friends. Each of the four different meals were served hot and were delicious. The waitress was great with a sense a humor and personable. We would definitely come here again. The meals were moderately priced (about $65 a couple with tip). I highly recommend it.

We have eaten here a number of times now. Food and service are always top notch. If you sit outside, the view is amazing. Make sure you stop at the Fireside!

Food was tasty and of a reasonable serving, not too big for the british appetite. Beer selection was great, no opportunity to say there wasn't enough to choose from. Nothing really stood out that would set it apart from any reasonably sized pub/tavern, but it was great flavour and reasonably inexpensive. Would recommend it over a chain, any day of... More

We visited this restaurant after receiving glowing reports on the food, atmosphere, and service. The latter two were terrific but what a let down on the meal. The prime rib was ordered medium but came rare, but worse it was tough. I've never had tough prime rib anywhere before. I didn't realize it was possible. A solid note was the... More

I had just travelled over 400 miles the day this restaurant was recommended to me. It was to be a casual tavern, had a sports bar with good food. Yes, the sports bar was casual, but the restaurant had outstanding décor and still informal for my jeans an T-shirt. I ordered swordfish and inquired if it was fresh. My very... More

The Fireside was attached to our motel, so it was convenient. The atmosphere was cozy, and there was a lot of waitstaff. But our service was kind of slow, considering that. The menu was small and a little pricey. My husband really didn't find anything on the menu that appealed to him. My meal was good, and more than enough... More
