This place is the real BBQ deal! Just driving by, and there's some dude out front in the parking lot, surrounded in smoke, working the grill. Clem himself! Not a fancy-pants place, but they're spot on with everything that counts, food, service, beer selection / drinks, cleanliness, & nice outdoor patio- even welcomed my dog. Wish I didn't live 3... First off, I was born and raised down south so I know good bbq when I taste it! The smoked and grilled meats (ribs, brisket, chicken, pit beef, etc) at Clem's are so good, you don't even need bbq sauce, but if you're like me and enjoy variety... this is the place to go. They offer a wide range of... More

Our family enjoyed a take out order of baby backed ribs and pulled pork but found the baked beans too hot to eat. I found chopped jalapeno peppers in the beans, which I picked out and added brown sugar to try to cut the fiery taste. On the other hand, the slaw was tasteless and needed doctoring. Next time I'll... More

So I live local and my parents were coming in. So heard that Clem's was now in the Autoport. Loved his food when he was on the side of a highway so thought this would be great. Got sat in the bar area, (ps we had two kids with us, plus parents in their 70's) they were watching horse racing... More

There are two different companies in PA that go by the name Clem's. At least two of the negative reviews seem to refer to the one in the Pittsburgh area. Clem's in State College is a different business entirely. I find it quite good with a choice of sauces so that you can completely bridge the ketchup based vs vinegar... More

I think there are still some bugs to be worked out, to put it mildly. For a simple take-out order, for food which by definition is already prepared (they don't smoke while-u-wait), it took a half-hour on a not-yet-busy evening. There was some other weirdness which I won't get into, and which I might have enjoyed more if people weren't... More

I have been to all of Clems locations - the original on us22 , then when they moved to the other side of 22, then state college , then Tyrone, then williamsport and now back to the Former Autoport(State College) location. This one is by far the most interesting location with all of the ambiance and furniture. The bottom line... More

I can't tell event planners enough to run far away from this company!!, after barely any communication from Deb Pearson (the owner), and multiple calls, voicemails, emails from me for months! The month of the wedding we agreed on 125 guests about 105 showed. They were over an hour late, brought the wrong sides, and ran out of food! Thank... More

I have been waiting to write this review for a few months now, because I have been waiting for an apology or some type of outreach from the owner. We had Clem's cater our wedding, and our food was delivered 2 hours late. It was cold, and the presentation was really very poor. The young men serving wore tank tops... More

Fall off the bone tenderness with a BBQ sauce that adds to the already fantastic flavor of the ribs. It is a necessary stop every time we are passing by on I-80 to pick up racks to take with us.
