For a sports bar in a college town, Champs is incredibly clean, reasonably quiet, and very family-friendly. Every time I visit my parents in State College, we take the kids in the family out to lunch at Champs. This isn't because the kids are sports fanatics, but because the waiters and waitresses are kind, friendly, and responsive, and the menu... More

My family & I stopped here after driving all day & checking into the hotel. The waitress was amazing & the food was amazing! The pizza was huge! The food was a little expensive but it was good! It was my birthday & they gave me a free cake & strawberry milkshake & sang me happy birthday! The manager was... More

very crowded- our table was moved twice and we ended up by the door. It was very cold outside so every time someone came in or out there was a cold draft.

This place is huge and was really crowded after a football game. Lots of big screen tv's. Large bar type menu The food was good and the server was friendly and efficient. Good place for a sandwich and drink, but not quiet fine dining. Recommend!

Stopped at Champ's with the family to catch most of a Penn State football game and grab lunch. Food was decent, nothing bad, nothing spectacular, no complaints. Children's menu was typical and very cheap which was nice. Beer selection was surprisingly large, I think 45 on tap plus bottled beers. Our service was fine for a sports bar atmosphere. This... More

I really enjoy Champs. Their food and service is consistently on point. The servers are really kind. I really enjoy the sandwiches here. You MUST TRY THE WINGS. They are the best in State College! The beer selection is great too. I would sit in the main bar area at champs too-tons of televisions playing sports! Prices are great too.... More

We went to trivia night on a Tuesday and had a great time. So, we decided to take the party downstairs and shoot some pool. There was a group of 8 of us having fun taking advantage of the cheap nachos deal, etc...when my son's girlfriend found a crescent shaped piece of glass in with the ice in the bottom... More

Champs has become a regular stop for me on Penn State football weekends. It's the destination for dinner after the game or lunch before late games. The beer selection is unparallelled in State College and the food is first-rate. My favorite is the "Yacht Club" - a seared tuna sandwich which I have blackened with green olive and artichoke tapenade,... More

Dropped in for lunch during Penn State-Northwestern game. The sandwiches are among the best in State College and this is the best place in town to watch a game. Drinks are well priced. We definitely need to go back more often.

If you love watching sports and eating good food, this is a must visit while in the area. You truly get great game day atmosphere in the place. The food and service is outstanding. We will continue to eat here now and into the future.
