Pleasant group lunch.

Our work group enjoyed lunch here in September. It is off campus, so not as crowded or noisy as many locations that are walking distance. We all enjoyed soup and an entree. The food was excellent with many options, as were the drinks. The service was good, but not exceptional. The menu was... read more

I may be old fashioned, but I prefer my cuisines "straight" so a place that seems to do Malaysian (no surprise given the name) , Thai, Chinese and sushi prompted some suspicion. However, I wasn't choosing so my prejudices did't come into play. We stuck to Malaysian and were happy with the experience, and while the staff weren't rushing to... More

Expect that your servers will look pretty sad and don't take this personally, it seems the people here don't feel any extra effort is needed. Expect very good Malaysian food. Expect very mediocre Thai and Chinese. Not sure about the quality of their Japanese. I wouldn't hesitate to go again to eat their Malay dishes, but somewhat more pricy for... More

Everything I've had here has been great. The staff is really good about helping you choose a dish if you're new to sushi.

I've been meaning to try Penang since my daughter began attending PSU. It has a pretty good rating on TripAdvisor, so I thought it would be worth a visit. We entered with a bit of trepidation because few people were there, and the ambiance wasn't particularly promising. Once the food was served, however, we were really impressed. The portions were... As a recent resident of the mid-Pennsylvania region, I am missing one thing above all else: decent Asian cuisine, specifically sushi. I am a sushi FREAK, and there are barely any options in the area for those who enjoy fish and rice. My expectations were not that high for Penang, and I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of their... More

Have been coming here for years. It is always good sometimes better than others but always good. Sushi, fusion, that curries or whatever we have never been disappointed. It's also a BYOB place which is also a good thing IMHO. Give it a try,

We eat here a few times a year when we visit our son at Penn State. The food is fresh, tasty and presented very nicely. We tried the spicy tuna sushi last night as an appetizer and it was outstanding! We also enjoy many of the noodle dishes. My wife had steamed chicken and vegetables with brown sauce on the... More

We tried to find an Indonesian RESTO at Penn State but we could not. We found a Malaysian RESTO the menu similar such as Indonesian food. Not bad, simple, fast service and variety menus.

Love the Malaysian food, especially the noodle dishes. There are so many choices and the portions are huge.
