If you visit State College you have got to stop by Meyer Dairy. Our family only makes it to Meyer's a couple of times of year, but it never disappoints. The best ice cream in State College with maybe the exception of the Penn State Creamery. Enjoy!

Ice cream tastes a lot better, more milky and natural than at the creamery. Our whole family loves it!

The ice cream is delicious but every time we go there, about 5 times a year, the servers are never friendly. Today was my breaking point~I inquired about getting only 1 scoop and was told the minimum was 2 scoops! I also asked if I could get 1 scoop of vanilla and 1 scoop of chocolate in the same dish... The ice cream at Meyer Dairy is excellent -- so creamy and the flavors are numerous and sooo good! Only negative is when they're out of the flavor I want.

Based on the review we visited this Dairy. The parking lot was filled with cars and there was a line out the door. We saw people with milk jugs for milk refills. We tried 3 different ice cream flavors and each ordered 2 separate flavors in a cup. We had coconut chocolate chips, Mocha chips, chocolate toasted almond, blueberry, maple... More

Locally owned dairy farm offers made-on-premises ice cream and Mexi-Hots (chili dogs) at bargain prices. I grew up 1 mile from this place and visit every time I return to my hometown. Much better than the over-marketed Penn State University Creamery ... Strawberry is wonderful, and Mint Chocolate Chip is a long-time favorite.

The ice cream is how I remember it; plentiful and delicious. Folks were outside the door waiting for a scoop of heaven on a hot summer afternoon; mine was chocolate marshmallow. My single scoop cup was so full I shared with a friend. I'd been away 30+ years and they didn't disappoint me; thanks!

We loved Meyer Dairy! It's on the opposite side of State College from Penn State so you never get the football weekend crowds, so that's a massive plus (if you want to stand in line for ice cream, you may as well go to The Creamery with all the alumni). Their ice cream is fantastic, but we really liked their... More

Meyers is a throwback to the old ice cream parlor days. Family owned for generations, they have their own farm and make most of their fare. People in the area have been coming for their milk, cheese and ice cream forever. Ah, the ice cream! It's some of the best out there. The range of flavors is amazing; and the... More
