The food is good, but they up charge for everything. The waitress was a little slow and we had to ask for refills, even though the place was almost empty. We do go here whenever we are cycling in the area, however.

Went to this diner late at night to have the stickies and ice cream. Not disappointed. Always good , crowded during school time, and after the bars close. Love this place and the stickies

This place is very much a diner, with diner-style food and a fun wait-staff. I've never had a bad meal. Their soups and entrees are good, and they have fantastic desserts. It's not fancy, but their prices are reasonable, and we go there enough that the staff knows us by name.

I dont know where to start my husband and I went out on a date night and it was a Friday night this place had no lines. that should have been clue number one. we interrupted one of the waitresses who walked us to a booth and walked away turns out she was actually our waitress. Over 5 mins later... More

I had time between early Mass and the late Mass on Christmas Eve. We tried several places to find that they were all closed. This was the only place open... and I am thankful for that. We had a group of 9. Everyone was pleased with their food and the friendly staff.

My husband and I ate there for lunch. I ordered the roast beef sandwich with mashed potatoes.. Roast beef is suppose to be brown,,,my order was white..tasted like cornstarch paste. HIs loaded fries were so greasy, he only ate 3 fries before pushing his plate away. Nice looking from outside, but not inside- the place could use an air purifying... More

We have eaten at this restaurant a few times, and it seems to get worse as time goes on. Very "bare bones" atmosphere...food taste is average...prices though reflect this. Bathrooms are a nightmare! Opening new I-Hop Restaurant almost next door...will try there next visit.

At first glance the State College Diner looked typical for diners that I have been to. The menu was adequate and lighting was bright and pleasant. The waitress wasn't familiar with what the vegetable would be and had to verify...no problem but after the choice of vegetable was provided to the server, it was not served. Two of the selections... Went there for breakfast the morning after the Penn State/Michigan game. Already a line out the door by 9AM. We were seated quickly, and served fast as well. The food was hot, done correctly, and was good, but not great. But for a decent breakfast with no frills, this is what you would expect. I would recommend it for breakfast.
