Went here for lunch. Very large menu with lots of choices. Mexican style decor was very colorful and inviting. Our waiter was right there from the get-go with our drink order and then back for our lunch selections and you get chips with mild & hot salsa for dipping. Our meals came out very quickly and the portion size was... More

Service was quick and gentle. The bathroom was immaculate! The interior decoration is of colorful carvings and serapes. The salsa was average but the tortilla chips were great and still warm. The enchiladas suizas were disappointing. They were so overly spicy that they lacked flavor..it is a difficult balance to achieve a good spicy flavor. Perhaps another item of their... More

My wife and I eat hear occasionally and always find the food to be very good and the service is prompt and friendly. Best Mexican food in the State College area.

Authentic Tex-Mex! We should know. Four years ago, we ate at this restaurant. We weren't disappointed. During our recent visit, we returned. We enjoyed the chicken enchiladas, rice and avocado salad and the T-bone steak with rice and beans. When we are in Central PA, we will be sure to order our Tex-Mex at Rey Azteca. The food is "my... It's in a mall so nothing fancy. Good portions and prices. No alcohol. Lots of choices so good for meat eaters and vegetarians. Short drive from our hotel so that was nice.

Ample servings and they were quite accommodating on the food variations. Service was a bit strange but friendly enough. No alcohol is a bummer (no Coronas!), so BYOB.

My husband and I arrived here and ordered our lunches a few minutes before the end of the stated lunch period, which was 2:30. The food came fairly quickly and was very good, very filling. I had gotten a large ground beef burrito, and my husband ordered the chicken fajitas. Good value for the price. However, when we went to... More

Living in the area, we stop by Rey Azteca several times per year, they still put forth a quality product each time we visit. -Atmosphere/Service- The atmosphere is colorful and there is artwork and decoration through most of the restaurant, not so much as to be too busy or to take away from the experience, however. There is a section... More

This restaurant is out of town from State College, and believe me some days you want that in a busy college town. It isn't far, just out by the mall, but far enough to escape some of the crush on the crazy busy days in town. This is our vote for best tex/mex food in town, with it's sister location... More

This is definitely a big step up from chain mexican restaurants. The ingredients aren't the freshest, like you would get at an upscale mexican place, but it is State College, so this comes closer than most places. You really do get a lot for what you spend, which is not that bad at all.
