LEGENDARY ICE CREAM

From the cows on the Penn Stare campus direct to the cone. Ben & Jerry based their ice cream on the training they got at PSU. Death By Chocolate is my personal favorite. Many flavors rotate. Peachy Paterno remains on menu. So good the store packs hundreds of half gallons to go home. We drive... read more

Some of the best ice cream I have ever tasted: Death By Chocolate is amazing! The service is good, always friendly but lines can be long (like out the door and down the block) so plan ahead. Very nice outdoor seating as well as tables inside. Located two blocks west from Beaver Stadium and the Bryce Jordan Center on the... More

Ice cream was ok, nothing spectacular. I had sherbet and it was so thin and runny it wouldn't stay on the cone. There is no where to park and seating is limited.

It's simple.. Summer... hot.... Orange Vanilla Sundae... Big scoop... A smile in my face. Orange vanilla sundae is to die for in a hot striking weather, it's as if you're drinking your ice-cream. It's kinda packed, but it's worth it. Chocolate Chocolate nut would be my second best choice.

What can I say - we are out at Penn State around once a year for athletic competitions for the kids. The Berkey Creamery has become a staple for us - a great ice cream reward after intense competition. Always tastes good, always good service - and almost always a line out of the door, but it's worth it. Good... More

After searching restaurants in State College and having an ice cream shop come up as the top place, we knew we had to try it. At the time, we did not know the fame of the Penn State Creamery. First of all, the parking for the creamery is in the parking deck just before the Food Sciences building. Free parking.... More

They have THE BEST ice cream, it's legendary....and totally worth the wait. If you stop by when it's nice out at peak hours, you're going to see a really long line and not want to wait...WAIT...trust me. It looks like a long line, but it moves really fast, and like I said...TOTALLY worth it.

The title of this review says it all. I've never eaten PennState ice cream before moving to the area and boy am I gladI live within 45 minutes of this place! Eat in or take it home (they'll pack it in dry ice for you!) We don't over do it at our house, but it's great treat quite a few... More
