OK everyone knows about the Creamery, so sometimes the lines are long. Don't worry....this line moves fairly quickly. They have this down to a science--they know how process a lot of people wanting their ice cream. Today I got Somerset Shortcake: Vanilla ice cream with bits of shortcake and swirl of strawberry ice cream!

so, so good. Well worth the stop, especially on a hot day. Even late on a thursday afternoon in the summer, there was a fairly long line. Service could have been better.

Seriously, how can you not stop at the Berkey Creamery? The ice cream & coffee are great. The little store has everything you need. And the outdoor seating area is the perfect spot to enjoy a refreshing cone of Peachy Paterno while people watching. There's a reason a stop at this place is a tradition for so many visitors.

Seriously, this creamery is not only a tradition, the ice cream, coffee, bagels are great! The outdoor seating area is fabulous for enjoying your cone and people watching. Soak it all in, it's the simple things in life, like Peachy Paterno on a summer day in Happy Valley.

I have always heard about the ice cream at Penn State and wondered what the big deal was. I now understand! It is the best ice cream I have ever had! I had a strawberry ice cream with red raspberry and blackberry syrups and chocolate chips mixed in! DELICIOUS!!!

Simple flavors, well made. Great cheeses and yogurt, too. The atmosphere is generic -- sort of an industrial design convenience store. But it's all about the food here.

We've heard many great things about the ice cream at Penn State, and finally had the chance to visit for ourselves. The line was long, but moved fairly quickly and the ice cream was definitely worth the wait! Among the best we've ever had, and the portion was large (only one size available to keep things moving). If you enjoy... More

If you haven't had ice cream from the creamery, you haven't had ice cream. It's simply the best. Good variety, creative options and so good. Don't miss it if you're in State College.

We had heard many great things about The Creamery from several generations of Penn Staters. As we found, however, most of them were referring to the old creamery location. The new one is very nice, but seemingly generic and commercial/industrial feeling. It's like a giant Wawa done in blue and white. They carry all the usual convenience store foods (bagels,... More

This is a great place for ice cream of the highest quality in familiar and also unusual flavors! Our kids loved it and walking through the campus to get there is an added bonus.
