Description: Each Harrison's Wine Grill menu reflects Chef Harrison's love of local ingredients. At our locally owned, award winning restaurant in State College, we go out of our way to find and use the best products available. Whenever possible, we purchase ingredients from local Pennsylvania growers and purveyors, in particular ones who arrive at the back door with freshly harvested offerings like elephant garlic, fresh green beans, or wild morel mushrooms. When a good quality ingredient is not available locally, we go out of market to find it, especially seasonal seafood. Full bar includes local microbrews on tap and over 20 wines by the glass. Located two minutes from Penn State's main campus, Harrison's is located within the State College Hilton Garden Inn. Harrison's is upscale yet casual, and a favorite of State College locals, Penn State alumni and students. Voted State College's Best Caterer, Best Wait Staff & Best Health Menu by the readers of State College Magazine.

We ate here on our recent visit to State College. The gluten free items were clearly marked on the menu and the server was very knowledgeable and helpful. Will definetly return when we're in the area.

My husband, a friend and myself had dinner Monday, January 19, 2015 at Harrison's . Perhaps it was the chef's night off, but the food, while nicely presented, was generally somewhat tasteless. My husband had the roast pork with apple and fennel slaw. The pork was juicy, but bland, and both the portion of pork and the slaw were not... More

Harrisons is in the lobby of the Hilton Garden motel - sort of. It's separated from it with a wall taller than any of its customers. Food is usually very good - seasonal menu usually quite good and locally sourced. Just had some sauerbraten from its Octoberfest menu, that was excellent. Soups are always excellent, and can be paired with... More

The food was good though a little pricey. It is an elegant little restaurant in an inelegant environment. The restaurant is in the lobby of the hotel. If you can get past that it really was a better than average restaurant. Extensive food and wine menus. Season items.

Much better than the "restaurants" you usually find attached to chain hotels. We ate both dinner and breakfast here. This small, nicely appointed restaurant had a surprisingly large and interesting menu, very good service, and very good food at a reasonable price.

Restaurants attached to hotel are not what one normally thinks of as fine dining, but Harrison's is a great exception. The service and food here were outstanding! We had lunch one day and breakfast the next. On both instances the servers were above and beyond friendly. The food was great. Not an amazing menu, but the food was miles beyond... More

Eclectic menu, farm raised local food and an excellent wine list top the highlights of this restaurant. It is independently owned and located at the Hilton Garden Inn. We are foodies from philadelphia and love any kind of food. Harrisons would be an excellent addition to Philly. Hint hint.

My husband and I would normally avoid a restaurant attached to a hotel for dinner out, but after reading prior online reviews we decided to give this one a try. I have to say the service and food here were outstanding! Our server was knowledgeable and attentive, the menu was creative and featured local providers, and the food presentation was... More

Harrison's conveniently located a short walk from our hotel. Had read prior positive reviews and we were not disappointed. My tilapia salad was really tasty with a properly made tortilla base for texture and a great combo of flavours. .. cilantro. . Lime. . Tomato... and cajun spice on the Fish. Great wine selection and our shared dessert of Strawberry... More

Finding this fine restaurant attached to a Hilton Garden Inn (no offense to HGI) was unexpected. Our small meeting group (there were eight of us) was easily accommodated with two-person tables pushed together. Half of us sat en banc. Seasonal items were incorporated into the menu along with local specialties. Some of us wanted to tweek the preparation and those... More
