Great place for breakfast. OK for lunch or dinner. My wife and I stay at the Inn at least once a year for over 20 years. Most often the Dinning Room has only a few diners at any time in the evening, although it can be crowded when special events are taking place. If you are looking for a more... More

We always make sure we have a meal here when we visit PSU! We make sure we ask for Brad's section. He is the BEST server in the world! Makes you feel like you are his only table even tho he is waiting on 10! The food is FABULOUS any time of the day. We love Danny's section too. He... More

Stayed here and ate breakfast at the restaurant. They had a buffet for $12 but we opted for ordering off the menu. Everything was good. The staff was friendly and service was fast. Next time I need to stay for dinner.

This is the restaurant at the center of the Penn State/State College confluence, lots of history, lots of people watching. It's almost a check list item. Usually, those places are not so hot. This place had very good food, and we had a very good waiter, who may have been the head waiter, we weren't sure. Our food was very... More

The Nittany Lion Inn is the original hospitalityy center for Penn State and remains an elegant place for meals or banquets. Service is impeccible; good prices for an upscale location; well prepared food. The Sunday Brunch is reasonable at $20 and wonderfful array of foods, including excellent salads, cheeses and seafood.

Service was prompt and efficient, we were seated quickly and the waitress attended shortly after. I had the crab sandwich, guest had the pulled pork. Both of us had fries that looked like they'd been cooked in old oil, they were Brown and ugly looking, my crab was way burnt on the outside, but was ok once you broke through... More

We stopped by for some food in the outdoor patio area of Whiskers, the bar at the Nittany Lion Inn. There was a large selection of small plates and regular entrees. The cheese plate for 3 was skimpy for $15. but we all loved the hot kielbasa with honey mustard. The mac and cheese was a little spicy, but the... More

We are happy to have served you well in Whiskers. We have a brand new menu since your last visit and our chefs have knocked it out of the park with this one. We hope that you stop back in to try some of the new items and say hello. Until next time, cheers. More

I ate twice in the same week for a business meal. The first night in the Gilpin room I had the salmon dish-- salmon smelled less than fresh but it was served upside down- skin side up. Never seen that before, but the fish just didn't taste right. The service this night was excellent. Second night we had dinner in... More

Excellent lunch entrees and a good beer selection. The best part was not having to wait in a 45 minute line for Creamery ice cream.

Thank you! We are very glad that you enjoyed your time in Whiskers. Our chefs are passionate about food and our beverage managers are passionate about beer so we are glad that we were able to share this with you! Be careful though, if you speak too loudly about the creamery ice cream, the line may move over to us. More

Stately atmosphere, great service, and surprisingly affordable. Hot and cold breakfast and lunch items, along with a carving station and fresh made omelets.
