Poor effort

The atmosphere itself is very nice and its a great place to have a few beers. Ive been here many times and everytime the food and service is significantly below average. The menu options are also very limited. As a big restaurant goer i realize when there is effort put into food. Here there is not... read more

Beverly Hills Tavern offers a good variety of dinner fare for reasonable prices. The inside bar is very cozy in the winter with the fireplace roaring, and the outside bar is fun in the summer. All in all ... a good option for a causal night out.

The first time we went the service and food were very good. I had the flat iron steak which was cooked just right, and they accommodated my special requests without hesitation. What a nice thing to do. My husband had the Santa Monica Pier (Seafood) that was supposed to have a BBQ sauce, but he said it was extremely spicy... More

This restaurant is no longer "The Beverly Hills Tavern;" long-time owner Al sold the restaurant and it's now "Jimmy G's Beverly Hills Tavern." Gone are both the solid menu and the classy atmosphere. This restaurant was *very* versatile in its heyday; you could go in the afternoon, wear a Hawaiian shirt and flip-flops and eat an amazing hamburger on the... More

We were there yesterday with friends celebrating a retirement. They gave us a private room with it's own bar and fireplace. There was only one waitress and she did a fantastic job of keeping the drinks coming and everyone's checks separate. We thought the food was good and the prices were reasonable. If I ever have a need to have... More

Where to start? Food was ok at best, plastic mugs for your beer, wing sauce was disgusting. I use to come here on a regular basis with the entire family. Visited for the first time since the new ownership and we will not be back. Came for the buffet but apparently the 7 pm buffet now closes at 6 even... More

Went here because it was the last warm day of September so we wanted to have some drinks outside. Service was very slow and I ordered a coors light the keg was kicked and I was never even offered another drink before the waitress moved on to someone else. She then later came over and apologized and gave me a... More

Seafood Combo was more like rubber in sour soup water. I couldn't eat it. The scallops tasted off and you could almost bounce them on the table. The shrimp were like rubber. The fish was some rolled up something that I'm not sure was even cooked through. It was supposed to be broiled, but there was no sign of any... More
