It won't disappoint

What a unique experience. The menu goes on and on and the atmosphere is eclectic and fun. My husband and I were in town overnight for a show in Reading and wanted to try someplace different for breakfast before heading home. We are so glad we found this place. He had the Cat Scratch Fever and I had... read more

I guess all the hoopla is about the very large portions (plate size pancakes and if you order eggs you get 4 large ones). But - you can't special order a thing - nothing! Not even if you want your potatoes cooked well! I hate undercooked hard potatoes. I like them burnt! But you can't have it your way -... More

My daughter and I recently went for breakfast at the Tomcat. The restaurant is decorated in a blues type of theme throughout with cool blues music streaming in the background. I had the "Hank's Cajun Girl" & my daughter had the "Long Tall Sally". My dish kicked up the palette with a Jalapeño pepper cornbread smothered in a brown bacon... More

My Sister suggested this place. We were in Reading for a visit and decided to give Tomcat a try. We had a little trouble paring because there was road construction going on. We finally found a space right out front. It was early on a weekday so we were able to get a table right away. Thank goodness we looked... More

My granddaughter is a breakfast avoider. After enjoying chocolate chip pancakes and scrambled eggs, she has converted to a breakfast lover. The decor, the bustling noise level, and a parade of scrumptious breakfast dishes visually captured her and added a level of food glamor to her anticipation. My pulled pork, jalapeño,cheese omelet was loaded with flavors that contrasted while also... More

OMG...... not too much more to be said about this place! This place is definitely a top-quality place to eat. The appearance of the food that I observed coming to the tables here is probably unrivaled most anyplace else. If all the dishes that I saw taste anything like they looked or the breakfast that I had and I'm assuming... More

Best breakfast not just in Berks county PA, but just about anywhere! Such an usual menu and the food is wonderful. It's worth the wait, but for less lines go Wednesday through Friday after 11 AM.

There is a sign out front stating Tomcat was voted Best Breakfast in Berks County. It does not go far enough. They serve the Best Breakfast in the World. They have it ALL. It is owned and operated by a guy who works his fanny off to bring his patrons nothing but the Best and he delivers Every time. The... More

Huge menu, be prepared to take a while to browse through all the choices. Lots of scrambles, bowls, omelets and sweet dishes, if you are after eggs over easy with a side of bacon and home fries this is not the place for you, think bigger! Since everything is cooked to order it will take a while for your order... More

Wow ... When you want a pancake for breakfast, how about two HUNDRED types of pancakes? Eggs, Omelets, Crapes, etc. This place has it all. From just plain two eggs basted, to a four egg omelet with all the trimmings. Spouse and I were told by lady at the Library that this was the place locals eat. I can see... More
