Hoppin' place!

I took my mom and her boyfriend here for a late Sunday lunch. We were the last people in at 12:45, as the place closes at 1PM. It is a small place with lots of tables squeezed together. Kitschy Elvis theme on the tablecloths and walls and music playing that is a bit too loud for enjoying... read more

Went to this restaurant with another couple who had been there before. They were raving about the food and now I know why. The menu was HUGE and the atmosphere really different. The food was great!!!!!! You might have to wait a bit, but they give you a menu and you can sit outside on a bench to read it.... More

Tomcat is one of my favorite places to go with family and friends. A huge menu of unique dishes, great quality food, and friendly staff are what keep us coming back. They are often busy though, so be aware that there might be a wait.

Love this restaurant ! The fun atmosphere, lively menu and friendly, helpful, experienced staff made our visit truly enjoyable. The menu is extensive and the menu options are well thought out and delicious. The walls, tables and even the restrooms are covered with music icons and art. Our food came out so quickly we hadn't even had a chance for... More

Excellent Food, Great Service. Nice atmosphere for Family, Friends or Couples. Ample parking in the church parking lot across the street (except Sundays).

We always look for good breakfast places in Berks and sadly they are tough to find! Tomcat is in a nice location, and it's always busy. Usually you can expect a short wait for breakfast, but don't worry its not bad. They are a bit limited with space so that makes it tough with the waiting at times. The owner... More

We arrived for a late lunch on a weekday, so easy street parking and no wait for a table. The decor was fun and funky. That said... As others have noted, expect to wait awhile for your food. Although Tomcat Cafe was not busy, our meal took over thirty minutes to arrive. I was disappointed with the service (brusque to... More

Second time we tried to get in the place. This time closed for renovations. Don't know why or when it may reopen. We will try again if we are ever down that way.

Ann E, Owner at Tomcat Cafe, responded to this review

To clarify, The Tomcat Cafe was forced to close for a few days in early March. On March 6th, just prior to opening, our rooftop exhaust system went down. A restaurant cannot operate without one. We were forced to close the 6th and 7th until the system could be fixed. During this time, we updated several times on Facebook, placed... More

Absolutely the best place in Berks county to enjoy food. Possible the best place in the country for breakfast. Unique menu items and something for everyone! Totally work the wait and the close quarters. Please go!

The food served at this restaurant is some of the best breakfast I've ever eaten in my life! There is a delectable dish for every single kind of person to ever go there! It is a feat to finish an entire dish, and the menu is like a book filled with imaginative dishes. I've only ever had bad service here... More
