great place for hamburgers and hot dogs with a chile sauce that is THE BEST....i would agree that the prices are high for the size of the hamburgers....the soda that they sell are to my knowledge, only available in that area of pennsylvania and therefore a treat!
Big price Little product, not worth $3.30 for a 1.5 oz. burger. $2.00 for a small bottle of soda. $2.00 for a small chocolate milk or coffee. Not worth it.
There food is way overpriced holy cow!!!!I love there cheese burgers!i love to sit on the bar with a cheese burger and a cream soda.i heard someone say they deliver now I hope that's true
I grew up here and enjoy stopping in from time to time. The food is almost exactly up the same from what I remember 35 yrs ago when the little old ladies made it. The smell of the heaping pile of sautéing onions can still be smelled 3 blocks away. My only issue is that the price has gotten carried... More
The best hamburger with meat sauce! The same women have worked there as long as I can remember. It's not the biggest burger, but it is tasty. If you are traveling with the burgers, ask them to not steam the buns. At Christmas time, they have the biggest tree. It truly is a trip down memory lane.
You go to the Coney Island for a hot dog or hamburger because they have nothing else to eat. They do a great job with the cooked onions and meat sauce. It is pricey for the area but the few times A year I get nearby I have to stop in. Some of there help has been working the 52yrs... More

Brings back old memories every time we visit, Great place for burger and hot dogs done their special way. Great soda pop like when we were kids.
I grew up in Shamokin, and having traveled through every state and many other countries I have never found a coney dog to top those served at the Coney Island. Their coney sauce is unbelievable, and I have never been able to replicate it so I just keep going back. The sign out front and the interior decor have changed... More
