Gunners, please train your staff! A 15 minute wait for a drink isn't ok. Neither is leaving dirty plates on the table while adding more from the next course, or ignoring empty water glasses, or not stopping by to check if meals are ok, and it's especially not ok that there is obviously no one in the kitchen checking orders... For a small town restaurant the food is very good. Our waiter was attentive and prompt. Good variety/selection of dishes. One of the "higher end" establishments in the area. Would definitely recommend a meal there. Brought the kids with too!

My wife and I eat at Gunners about twice a month. We always enjoy the experience but it could be better. The dining room is separate from the bar area but at times the player piano in the dining room can be overwhelming depending how close you are to it. Service is adequate but there are times when it seems... More

This place is HUGE!!! and very loud! We sat in a back corner of the "Piano Room" and thankfully nobody was playing it. The waitresses were very busy - there was no wine/drink list available so it was by guess and by gosh (house merlot was pretty good). We ordered the apple butter glazed chicken and the tuna catch. The... More

We stopped at Gunner's after a trip to the Elk Country Visitor Center in Benezette. It seemed the most likely option in town for a decent meal. The food was pretty good. I had the lobster ravioli with shrimp, scallops and Langostinos. It was very tasty, the scallops were perfect, but only four raviolis on the plate- a bit stingy... More

We've eaten here countless times over the years...always a "good experience", I'd never say "Very Good" but that's a biggie issue...the type/quality of staff you can find in our hometown...vs just solely the restaurants themselves. However a restaurant/hotel management staff that is demanding of quality customer service could pull it off, however the possible talent pool to draw from in... More

We are from out of town and visit family in st marys often. There are limited restaurant choices but we haven't been to gunners in a few years so decided to try it again. The menu has a good variety with some unique special choices at reasonable prices. We were sat in the noisy lounge area by the bar for... More

The food was adequate but not for the price. The service was terrible. The waitress didn't know anything about any of the menu items when we asked questions. The bar was hopping so I think it would be a good place for a night out but I wouldn't recommend the food.

Good value for the money. Friendly service with the bar next door serving meals. Close to Benezette Elk Viewing Center
