Fun place to stop, good rubens & fries, pub food with lots of Irish additions to the menu. The downstairs is really neat, I recommend eating down there.

I loved the atmosphere! It is like finding a hidden treasure. Lots of history. Was give a tour of a secret speakeasy room. Food was great. The Irish cheesesteak tastes like one I had while visiting Ireland. I feel like I found a secret and can't wait to go back!

We went here for dinner. I got a cheesesteak and fries. The cheesesteak was not the best. The cheese was not mixed I with the steak meat so it was all clumped together. The fries got cold very fast. Maybe because we ate downstairs and it was very cold down there. No heat and it smelled like a bathroom. My... More

Went for early dinner. Fast friendly service but ambiance was poor. Should have had music playing instead had to listen to TV in back ground with Judge Judy People's Court. Come on!! When asked to put on music we were told music was broken?? Warning if you have a sensitivity to mold and mildew do not eat in lower level.... More

This place has awesome wings! Over 30 flavors of them! I wish the Wooden Keg was around when I lived in the area (or maybe that would be dangerous...). We always try to stop by when we are there. Wings are awesome, always cooked perfectly and with so many sauces to chose from it's hard not to find something you... More

Located on a back street in Saint Clair,Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania is a cozy Irish American themed bar/restaurant. Live music on Thursday nights. Nightly food and drink specials. Cozy oval bar withe several TV's broadcasting sporting events. Tables in bar area. But there's more. A set of steps leads down to an underground dining area with a service bar. Historical posters... This was our first experience dining at the Wooden Keg and it won't be our last. The food was excellent and the service was first class. This is a great bar/restaurant with a Schuylkill County flavor and a bit of coal mining history. A definite must stop if you are in the area.

We love to sit at the bar and have a few draft beers and hot wings. The burgers and Shepard's Pie are also very good. Get there early since most nights it's packed.

Housed in a former 1860's hotel, owned by the family of an alleged Molly Maguire, the place has tons of history not to mention 5star food and Atmosphere!! there is a secret tunnel off of the downstairs dining room!!
