Great food, great service. Tavern atmosphere. Crab Bisque, Shepard's Pie and Irish Steak Sandwich were all excellent. Yuengling Lager and Lord Chesterfield Ale on tap. The building is historic. Great place to stop when in the area. We will be back!

Today is Sunday and we went there but they were closed, so we decided to go to the St Clair Wooden Keg, the menu was different things that we normally get were not advailable on the St Clair menu. The food that we did get was good but... More

I enjoyed the atmosphere and the drink prices here were great. The fried pickles were very good and the food came down thru the ceiling via dunwaiter. I ordered wings and tried the Louisianna Garlic and the Peppercorn Ranch. They were good but not great. My wife ordered a burger medium and it came out very rare. This is why... More

I've come from England where food is good and this first visit was good except for the parrot type service. But the second visit was appalling. Dry mac cheese that was reheated badly, chopped steak burger which was mince and overcooked, and the rest not even worth a mention. My finances was just as bad. I asked for sweet tea... More

A quiet coal region town with a surprise up the hill. Years ago, when coal was king, the main road passed this corner tavern, which also sold gas, provided lodging, food and women to the local trade. Today, this historic tavern is overlooked because of it's location, but it is usually packed with locals who know a good thing and... More
