Shoo-fly piy and lots of it

This is a bakery, not a restaurant. Mostly they sell only one thing--shoofly pie. It is excellent and fresh. We were offered free samples upon entering. Parking is a bit difficult. The gift shop is extensive and interesting.

The Shoofly is the best Amish dessert. It is called a "wet bottom" pie for a reason! Try the homemade rootbeer also! There is a little gift shop selling furniture, gifts, and souvenirs. Various shops are also located around the area so it is easy to park and shop.

We were a little bit leery since this place is so heavily advertised, touting the "Best Shoofly Pie". You can see it from pretty far away, the yellow building and the windmill. The staff is super friendly, handing out generous size of shoofly pie. It is served warm with whipped cream. You will walk out with more purchase! It is... More

Stopped here on the spur of the moment and were rewarded with good coffee and great shoo fly pie. It's basically a general store with tons of small items for sale. However, we were delighted to be able to try shoo fly pie and to eat outdoors on the deck. The people working here are super friendly and welcoming. It... More

Every time I'm in PA I always make sure to get a shoo fly pie from here. It really is the best around and I love their nice shop as well. Staff is nice. Although I must say the woman on their commercial for things to do in all the hotel rooms makes me giggle

ALWAYS come here for the pie. You will get a tiny sample upon entering the store but you will leave with one, maybe two of the best Shoo Fly Pies around. Trust me the Chocolate cannot be beat. It's like a hot fudge sundae when you warm it up and pile on the whipped cream. So good we stopped one the... More

The Dutch Haven is a place you should really stop at while in the Amish Country. Besides shoo fly pie, which you can get a free sample of, you can also get cookies, drinks and other goodies too!

We have been going here for their Shoo Fly Pies for 50 years. Every time we are in Lancaster, PA area we MUST pick up several pies for our use and to bring back for family and friends. The pies are the main reason to stop here, but they also have great gifts and keep sakes. Over the years we... More

Upon entering the giant windmill, I was offered a free sample of shoo fly pie which seems to be a full time endeavor in and of itself to keep the samples coming! The pies and the snickerdoodle cookies are wonderful. The whole shop is dedicated, like many Lancaster area shops, to goods like quilts and handmade rockers. The onsite bakery... More
