Cool building exterior with lots of cheesy gifts inside - plus shoofly pie samples!

First off, this is NOT a restaurant. It's a gift shop. I was looking forward to browsing this PA Dutch country mainstay. As a child we travelled cross-country many times and I always enjoyed the gift shops along the way (Stuckeys!). Alas, I'm older now and the charm of these types of places was... read more

Liked the variety of sweets to choose from, from shoefly pie to whoopee pies. They had nice amish items to choose from. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

I found this gift shop to be a very general gift shop. And by this I mean there were several items that were specific to this area however I found many items that I can find in my hometown and other areas. So as I walked around I became a bit disappointed. I did some items that looked like they... More

It's unclear to me why Dutch Haven is listed as a "restaurant" on TripAdvisor. It's really a souvenir store that happens to have a pie shop. Granted, though the shoo-fly and whoopie pies here are very good, and many people probably come here purely to shop for the pies, I personally find the Bird-In-Hand Bake Shop (see my review) to... I sort of feel bad writing a review so terrible for this place. But I was frankly astounded and how disappointed I was on all fronts. This was my first time to Lancaster and I was looking to try the famous shoofly pie. First, I was surprised when we walked in and this place was a store, not a cafe... More

Went in excited to buy shoofly pie for my pregnant belly after going here for so many years and will never return to this establishment again. Stood at the counter to get a pie and got an attitude about asking for a smaller sized pie. Then my mother and sister were given a sample and I was not. They told... More

This is a bakery, not a restaurant. Mostly they sell only one thing--shoofly pie. It is excellent and fresh. We were offered free samples upon entering. Parking is a bit difficult. The gift shop is extensive and interesting.

The Shoofly is the best Amish dessert. It is called a "wet bottom" pie for a reason! Try the homemade rootbeer also! There is a little gift shop selling furniture, gifts, and souvenirs. Various shops are also located around the area so it is easy to park and shop.

We were a little bit leery since this place is so heavily advertised, touting the "Best Shoofly Pie". You can see it from pretty far away, the yellow building and the windmill. The staff is super friendly, handing out generous size of shoofly pie. It is served warm with whipped cream. You will walk out with more purchase! It is... More

Basically a store food items but a tourist place, nice items for a fair price, good soft pretzels, shoo fly pie, other baked items, handmade wooden items, jellies
