New management x 2. Got better

Been visiting this diner for decades. Used to be jennies diner and was terrific! Jennie sold it in early 2000's; 2001? 2003? Next owner kept good prices and generous servings, but quality started failing and I believe they ran into trouble with health dept and closed. New owners had to change name... read more

Nice litter diner with very good food. Stopped by for lunch on Sunday while in the area. I had a bowl of split peas soup which was delicious and my wife had pork and sauerkraut. Staff was friendly and courteous. Food was good. Service was fast. Price was reasonable. Only drawback was they only take cash!. We only carry a... More

My grandson (6) fell in love with this place while was working in the area for a few months; started calling it "his diner". I like it too, the staff is pleasant, the food good and the place is clean. It's kinda cool old-school chrome furniture, and I can vouch for the open-faced roast beef sandwich. I nice respite after... More

Spent the night in the area, and heard good things about this place. Actually stopped by the night before but they were closed. Returned for breakfast. Coffee was rich and hot. I ordered basic breakfast (bacon, eggs, hashbrowns and bagel). The food came out so fast, I was scared! No worries, it was hot and delicious. The place was clean... More

Have been eating at this diner formerly Jenny's, it was sold last year. The place has gotten a much needed cleaning but the breakfast while still good is not as good as it was when it was Jenny's. We almost always had omelettes and their pancakes (hubcap size) are still excellent. Omelettes are flat not fluffy but still taste good.... More

I am still pining after their cucumber salad and pigs in blankets - only regret that we didn't have room for any of the desserts that looked just as good as the food we ordered!

I have written several reviews on this diner and this one is pretty much a carbon copy. This past week my wife and I visited our favorite location in the USA for a quick get a way Lancaster PA. While there I went to The Route 30 diner for my usual take away dinner. Both evenings I ordered the chopped... More

I've never seen a place where "eat where the truckers eat" was more applicable than here. It seems like there's always one or more semis parked at the 1959 Silk City diner. Inside basic food is served at reasonable prices in almost unreasonable portions. Photos of military members with connections to diner regulars line the walls. No Elvis & Marilyn... More

This is a typical diner that you would find anywhere on the east coast. The food was good and service was fine. The booths were a little small but other than that it was a good place to eat.

Okay so it’s not Jennie’s any longer and that makes me sad, but our recent visit was enjoyable and the food was quite good. We had a very friendly waitress, we didn’t feel rushed and thoroughly enjoyed our meals. We had roast turkey with filling (excellent); a burger and fries (very good); stuffed chicken (very good); and stuffed pepper (good).... More
