Surprising restaurant located in local strip mall.

A friend recommended this restaurant to us. The variety of the menu and the long list of daily specials made it hard to decide. Everything we ordered was delicious. We were there on a weekend and it was crowded and a bit noisy. I won't hesitate to go back and try it during the week.

A special dinner for our anniversary and our friend's birthday. Iva does not disappoint one bit. The service, the atmosphere, the food - all perfect! The men went with our waiter's special recommended dish: pork chop. It was enough for two but the guys had no problem finishing it off. Moist and tender and cooked perfectly. My friend and I... UVA is located in a small strip mall, with a large open dining room and an outdoor patio, which is terrific. The food is VERY good. From the crab bisque to the peach apetizer, both fish (I had the branzino) and steak (my friend had a t-bone special), and the veal dishes were all delicious. Desserts are homemade and all... More

We had a delicious meal. Portions are ample & menu offers many choices. The singer was good but didn't overpower our conversation. Only issue is cost. Its a little pricey for the neighborhood.

Very nice local Italian joint. Came here with a large group of 22. Appetizers were pre-ordered so I had no choice in the selection. There was octopus carpaccio which I really didn't care for. The texture and flavor of the octopus were off putting. However, the bruscetta, fried calamari (a must try) and the salads were very good. The tomato... More

My Husband and I had dinner here last night. I had the Caprese Salad. Delicious, but note to kitchen, don't use slices too close to top of tomato. Too much core. Minor point, it was good. H had the beet salad and liked it very much. My entree was the special Shrimp and Lobster Ravioli with Asparagus in light cream... More

My previous review was accurate but we did go back on Mother's Day to try it again...because the food was so good. I will say it was a better experience and the food was excellent. My only complaint was how many people were stuffed into the restaurant. I could have eaten off the plate next to mine which is not... More

My 17 yr old son decided to make reservations at Uva for Mother's Day since my husband was away. We arrived and was quickly seated. An elderly waiter Steve immediately informed us that he 'might' be our waiter. He spent the entire time gazing around while telling us the specials.... He was very dis-interested and seemed to be bothered. I... More
