It's all about quality

If you're looking for good quality food, Anthony's delivered. The food is good with portions that are generous without being too large. It's a basic, family eatery. The wife thinks the salads here are exceptional, esp. when supplied with Judy's special dressing. I'm not a french fry devotee but the fries here are particularly good...always. Often we come for the oyster stews, which never fails to please. And at lunchtime, consider their #1 sandwich, which is an Italian sandwich of very high calibre!

At the top of my list of favorite places to dine is Anthony's. For quality food that is prepared beyond words I always recommend Anthony's.

I love the place and how it is decorated. Despite it becomes crowded, the waiters place you in specific spots so your don't have troubles with the noise. I enjoyed the onion french soup so much that I didn't want the waitress to take my plate until I finished the last drop. The service is amazing, they always check if... More

Should have walked out as soon as I walked in. Smelled like mold. Developed headache within 15 minutes of being there. Depressing place. Lasagna was disgusting (bland). Poor service; took us 1 hour to get our bread and another half hour for our salads. Should have just walked out since our waiter basically disappeared and would never have known I... More

We've gone to Anthony's several times in the past three years, and it's always a pleasure. The food is exquisite, and the servers are always courteous and attentive, but not hovering. On our last visit three weeks ago, we invited some friends from Delaware, who live 1-1/2 hours from Anthony's. I travel about an hour to get there also, but... More

I love this restaurant because it's open every day of the week and the wait staff is always friendly. I recently tried the cream of garlic soup for the first time and I am now addicted to it! If you like garlic you should definitely try it although you will probably need some mints if you are going to be... More

once a month we have 3 couples go to different places. This month the choice was Anthony's. Very good choice. Everyone was pleased with their entree selections. I ordered the seafood marinara and was expecting to find cut pieces of lobster in it. It was served with a nice lobster tail, shrimp, scallops, mussels and clams in a tasteful Marinara... More

When a restaurant rolls out a menu with pretensions, it better deliver. Anthony's did not the night I was there. Start to finish, I had some of the most overpriced food and inattentive service I have ever had in Reading. Part of the problem may be that I am not a regular -- and doubt I ever will be --... More

The food is average, the atmosphere is nice. The restaurant could use a little remodeling though. The bar area smells a little musty but the dinning room s fine. The homemade desserts were very good. I ordered the homemade Zucchini cake and all I can say is wow! My friend ordered the homemade tapioca rice pudding and she said that... More
