you'd never drive past Mary's which uses a Punxsutawney address but is really located in the tiny village of Cloe. The fare is Italian and the food a little different than the average. The Eggplant Parmesean, for example, is sliced eggplant stuffed with coated cheeses rather than the regular eggplant coated with breading and cheese and baked. Portions are reasonable... More

Well, I decided to go and try Mary's Place due to the wonderful reviews, but sadly I have to say it was one of the worst restaurants for a night out we have been to in a while. Again let me first say we traveled 45min to one hour to come here, the restaurant itself inside and out was very... More

I was in Punxsy and decided to eat dinner at 8:30pm. There isnt much at that time and ended up at Marys. There was still other people there when I arrived. The bread was warm (how i like it), my dinner salad generous and the tuna done perfect. I tipped my waitress generously and will be back.-Shotts In The Dark... More

Lived in Maryland for years and crab cakes are amazing at Mary's. The lobster bisque comes served in a lobster bowl and makes the creamy heavily bisque even more desirable. Bring you appetite,

This was my second visit to Mary's Place - the first being 5 years previous. Both times, we stayed at the Plantation B&B, and were referred to Mary's by the owner, Julie. This resto really is a hiden gem - certainly not too pretentious, considering it is one of the few 'moderate' restaurants with an upscale menu in the region... More

Love this restaurant. The atmosphere is inviting, the waitstaff is always nice and the owners are great. We often have work related lunches here and all love the Lobster Bisque and the Tomato Red Pepper soup. The lemon brulee is outstanding and all their other desserts are pretty good too. Any appetizer or entree we've ordered has been wonderful.

Always look forward to a meal in this fine restaurant when I visit family. We love the creme brulee, fried zucchini, eggplant, excellent wait staff & caring owners!

I love the walnut blue cheese compote. I also recommend the creme brûlée and the lemon creme brûlée. I have enjoyed their salmon as well (as an entree, seems disjointed as a salad). Soups are good as well. Friends love the lobster bisque and the chicken oscar. They do a wonderful job with take home orders - package the food... More

Recommended to us by owner of motel, where we stayed, in town. Service was terrific from the moment we arrived. I had buffalo shrimp as an appetizer and wished the shrimp had been cooked a bit more, but they were very tasty. My husband had the mussels for the appetizer and loved them. For the entrée, I had a filet... More

Excellent dinner in a quaint atmosphere. The menu was extensive without being too large. The chef had a very nice selection of specials for the evening. The service was very good. We will definitely be back.
