slightly below average but not poor

There claim to fame is there cheese steaks. portions are stupid large but the quality is fair at best. Prices are cheap. The high note is that they have a decent beer selection and tap choices were perfect temp. The fries were awesome and the service was good. And they have onsite showers, a... read more

Heard about this restaurant and decided to give it a try last week after a gymnastic competition on Pottsville. Located in a small coal town, on a very busy highway, we were surprised to find the place packed with diners. It is located close to Cabelas and most of the placed to eat nearby are fast food or same old... More

Decided to eat at the hotel after visiting the awesome Peanut Shop next door (seriously - it's a must-see). Been past many times but never in. It's your average coal country bar/restaurant. We were seated relatively quickly. The waitress gave us a few minutes to peruse the menu and was able to answer all of our questions regarding food ingredients,... More

After hearing about this place for years and years we decided to give it a try and all I can say is meh. Sat in the waiting area for 20 minutes total, a full ten minutes after the hostess told us the wait would be 10 minutes. With four small children, not ideal. Another couple who came in shorty after... More

I have been here many times and it seems that each time it gets a little worse. The only thing they going for them is that they give large portion of food...but it seems the quality of that food is slipping. You can't really complain about the service...you don't get any. The waitress came and asked what we wanted to... More

We have gone here a few times I have yet to figure the staff, food or the place. One time we took my father-in-law who at the time was 91 he climbed the back stair it was winter. When we got to the entry the lady came and asked if we had reservation. I said I did not know we... More

I read the reviews prior to going, but went anyway. Was traveling through and wanted to go somewhere other than a chain restaurant, someplace with local charm. It was local, but the charm was mostly missing. Braunhilda, our waitress,a.k.a. Pam, left her smile back in 1967, and found it again when we were leaving. Every request ,which wasn't extraordinary, brought... More

They need to concentrate on the quality of their food and cooking it properly instead of the size of the portions. Was not here for a few years due to the same issue....nothing has changed

Had a wrap, fries, and cheese dip it was more than enough for two and it was very good. Nice bar area and very clean and out-of-the-way place that's a good stop. Saw the reviews about unfriendly service our service was good but they could smile just a little more.

I was shopping at cabalas in Hamburg, PA. and decided to try a locale eatery and was told at the store to try Port Clinton Hotel just down the road. The outside of the building didn't look too promising, and inside was much better, outdated and in need of repairs, but looks are sometimes deceiving, but not this time. Their menu... More
