First time eating here. We went early so it was not very crowded, and nice and quiet. The service was good. The food is reasonably priced, portions nicely sized, and tasted very good. Will definitely be going back for another visit.

My Lady and I dinned at Dawson’s for dinner. We each ordered rib eye steak, loaded bake potato and Caesar Salad. The food photographs exceptionally well, the taste just wasn’t there. The steaks looked juicy but were dry even though they were medium rare. The potato was loaded, but with blanks. The salad was beautiful to look at … but... More

We went to Dawson's Restaurant & Bar while staying at the SpringHill a mile away and visiting Villanova. The service at Dawson's was great (though one server, not ours, was playing games on her iPad) and the food was good for the price.

I frequent this restaurant as the food is consistent and most of the staff have been there awhile and there are no surprises. The salmon is excellent, the salads are great, and my friends enjoy the pasta entrees. The wine list could be improved, but they make a great martini!

Consistent food, quieter than other local places so good for a business meeting. Wait staff has gotten to know us.

Our large family was staying up the hill at the Springhill Suites for a memorial service. It had been a difficult day when we a small sub-group found ourselves at Dawson's. We started in the bar (it's a small bar...) and originally were disappointed in the service. Then we met Dorothy. She was it - bartender, waitress, everything. Apparently a... More

Food was fine, service was slow. Was here on a Monday night at 6:30 and the place was empty. Menu seems more like a diner now and less like a nicer restaurant.

I've eaten at Dawson's about 5 times in the past year. The food is always very good and the service always excellent with very pleasant servers. I have always found it to be a calm, pleasant dining experience. I just had the broiled scallops and my son had the cajun salmon, both accompanied by wonderful crisp salads. It is unfortunate... I have stayed at the hotel behind the restaurant numerous times, but thought the restaurant was closed, since the parking lot was never crowed and it looked like an abandoned restaurant from the exterior. I decided to check it out one evening when I did not want to venture out far from the hotel, to avoid rush hour traffic. Upon... More

This restaurant is located behind a motel in Plymouth Meeting. Upon entering we noticed that the front door needed staining, not a good sign. The bar is perhaps the loneliest and non-descript bar that I have ever seen. The counters behind the bar are almost empty of liquor and seemed unkempt and lifeless. The main dining room is dark and... More
