Amazing experience...

My family can here before attending a show. Great choice... We started with the Avocado and Lump Jumbo Tian appetizer. I have had similar dishes at other restaurants, but the slight use of chili oil is what separates this version from all of the others. The mildest heat was such a compliment to... read more

Recently downtown for a event and found Sonoma Grill within walking distance to the theatre district. The menu has multiple options, lots of tapas type starters and a mixed grill section where you chose protein, side and sauce. We elected for a starter and entree. My husband had the black bean soup. It was a hardy portion approximately 12 oz and... More

Came in out of convenience as it was pouring out and I was staying at the Marriott next door. Place has a beautiful bar and an extensive wine menu. I will say, only 1 out of the 3 bartenders were even remotely attentive. I had the filet. It was good. Not great. Although it's OK I won't come back here.

I did not understand the 30 min wait for my reservation when there were empty tables. Great wine selection. Imperial Duck was AWESOME! Server was not very attentive. Dessert selection disappointing if you can not have chocolate.

Arrived for a very early dinner and had to sit at the bar until serving time started. Enjoyed a couple of the Tapas while we waited. They were very tasty and nicely presented. Although the Sonoma is known for their wines, they accommodated my companion with a blended drink. After we were seated at a table, our orders were taken... More

We met our son, who attends Carnegie Mellon, here for his birthday. The location is great; right off 579. Our reservation was honored. The atmosphere was really good. The food was OK. We tried some items unusual for us -- duck and venison. The duck was good and the filet dinner was also great. Venison was tasteless and seemed to... More

I am actually a very plain, picky eater. My friends tried to pick a restaurant I would like...and I did. The waiter started by explaining the entire menu to us and giving suggestions which was such a help. They are re-doing their wine list so some choices my friends wanted were not available but that will only be temporary. I... More

I came to Sonoma Grille for a work dinner. The menu is great - lots of options and very creative. The menu changes seasonally which allows them to bring the freshest ingredients. We shared a number of appetizers, all of which were wonderful - great flavors and textures. I particularly loved the cheeses as well as the tuna tartar and... More

Had dinner here before the Sarah McLachlan concert. Plentiful food, attentive service and a very pleasant experience. We were not in a hurry and the food came in a reasonable amount of time. Very tasty. The cheese plate was not good. A few hunks of cheese, some crackers and jelly. The rest of the experience was superb. Going back again... More

Make sure to make a reservation via OpenTable. We stopped in for lunch and had a really delicious salmon salad. After the theater one night we stopped in and sat at the bar and the service is very good. There is a nice comfortable feel to the restaurant.
