We've dined at Sonoma Grille 6 or 7 times and have never been disappointed. The wait staff is top notch and the food is unbelievably good. We went there last night for our anniversary and, once again, couldn't have asked for better service and food. The tappas platter is always a delight. I enjoy the Wine Flights and my husband... More

Nice ambience, great californian wines, excellent Tapas, good fish and dishes, excellent chowder- overall nice fun place to eat. Can be full especially early evenings but nice and lively. Definitely worth a visit.

I picked this place because it had an extensive tapas menu. I like small plates - don't want gobs of food. Still, we left glutted, in part because of the unctious, flavorful food offered. Start with the tapas platter - 5 wonderful offerings that will be almost enough food for two. They probably change this but we had wagyu beef,... More

We enjoyed a late dinner here out first night in town. Sarah recommended two outstanding wines and was friendly and attentive. We had the duck which was rich and flavorful, as well as seared scallops, cooked perfectly and melted in my mouth. Dinner and wine was so good we skipped dessert, but heard it was also fabulous. Recommend for sure.

A business colleague and I enjoyed the food and setting at the Sonoma Grille, although the service was spotty. The restaurant bills itself as serving "California cuisine," which my dining companion found interesting since he's from California; I would tend to call it more "trendy" than classic with some interesting and eclectic pairings. The rye-crusted salmon on butternut squash risotto... More

I've been to Sonoma Grille several times. They have a good wine selection that is limited to California wines, but there are some very good ones and some fine wine selections! The food is good and it's been some of the best service we've had in Pittsburgh.

I have been here a number of times, but it had been a few years. My 3 colleagues and I didn't have a reservation not realizing it would be so busy on a monday. The hostess had left to seat another party and i was waiting at the desk. A few people came in after us.. apparently part of a... More

Really like this restaurant. Have come many times over the years and is my go-to place when I visit Pittsburgh. They focus on local and fresh ingredients. They are also known for their wine list, lots of selections by the glass.

We had a nice dinner. Service was good and food was for sure above average. We were a party of six and all agreed we would go back.
