Small, but wonderful!

Very small and NOISY, but great food. My family ate chicken parm and I had a special; Blackened snapper and sweet sausage over pumpkin and butternut squash ravioli and tortellini pasta with cherries, walnuts, and mushrooms in an apricot cream sauce. Sooooo amazingly delicious. It is BYOB, but $4.00... read more

I am Italian, three years n the Burgh, and I have always delayed my visit there, despite the many comments, sure that "I could do that". Well... I could, but it would be less spectacular and crafty. Great food, in a relatively small menu (which to me sounds like quality and control), crafted according to the season. Definitely a place... More

Stumbled upon this little place when visiting a family member at Allegheny General Hospital. Upon approach, the exterior lacked appeal and it didn't improve inside. We were greeted with a friendly face and were promptly seated, as we walked by the open very busy kitchen. The extensive Italian influenced menu offered everything from fish, seafood and, yes, pasta. Everything was... More

Went in the past with a friend a couple times. Small, but very sociable restaurant. Diner style with great service. two things come to mind... Get the chicken romano get the caramel pecan cake for dessert also BYOB place, but the state store is right down the road on east ohio street. modest cork fee.

good for lunch, tables close together that makes it difficult to discuss personal versus buisness. Would recommend the fried fish sandwich. Did not think much of the tiny side salad.

Have been wanting to try Legends for a long time, and I`m glad we finally made it. The food was delicious and the service extra special. You can tell that there are a lot of regulars there. Our table of 4 had a variety of dishes, and they were all wonderful. I especially loved the appetizer special, flatbread topped with... More

We were taken here by friends Skip, Jack and Cindy and it was the most amazing Italian food we have eaten. The atmosphere is friendly and easy, the service excellent and the place was buzzing. I could have eaten here every night of our short stay in Pittsburgh!

Our family had a great meal at Legends last night. The decor is cozy with pictures of Steelers and Pirates on the walls. My salmon entree was the best I ever had. Their Veal Parmesan was huge and delicious. Don't let the BYOB scare you away. They stored our beer in their fridge, opened our wine at no charge and... More

We have never been disappointed with the food at lunch, mid-day or dinner. this is the place to go for food at any hour and any degree of hunger. try and have room for the deserts, pie slices can provide enough desert for up to four people after you have soup and an pasta.

We have not been back to Legends for several years, but friends suggested it and we thought that it might be good. I think "good" was about it. Appetizers were fair -- we tried two. Bread was brought to the table along with olive oil, but a request for butter was answered with a "sure," but never brought to the... More
