Something is wrong if this place gets such good reviews. I have eaten here a few times and nothing is above average. Please save your money and try somewhere else more

We had dinner at this cafe one night and it was really good. It's small, cozy and nicely decorated. The food is really good and the service was excellent. The staff was friendly and went out of their way to make our visit a good one. I tried "pillows" - they are a cross between ravioli and gnocchi - very... more

Located a block off Carson Street, it is a cozy place for an anniversary, birthday celebration, or a good place to dine after seeing a show at the nearby City Theater. It's expensive but the food is delicious and the service is excellent. more

We went to the 17th Street Cafe last night because it was recommended by the owner of the bed and breakfast we were staying at. The restaurant is small and cozy and the food was fabulous. I ordered the filet mignon and it was cooked to perfection. My husband also ordered a steak and he savored every bite. I would... more

The 17th Street Cafe was the perfect setting to celebrate our anniversary. It was a cozy and inviting atmosphere, nestled in an enviornment that was relaxed and comfortable. The drinks were fabulous and the food was scrumptious. I am now counting down the days that we will get to revisit this little taste of heaven on earth. more

I have been dining at the 17th St. Cafe for a long time and each time I go I can't wait. The food, atmosphere, staff, not to mention the owner - fantastic. It is truly my "comfort" place to go. As long as I have been going there, it remains to have the same outstanding food and great drinks. more

After reading all the positive reviews, I was excited to go to 17th St. Cafe. While the service was excellent and the staff friendly, the food was just mediocre and pretty expensive for an upscale casual restaurant. I had the veal with crab ($27) which was tasteless. Ditto for the Scallop Renaldo dish that my wife ordered. My son had... more
