Took an out of town friend here for lunch. She was so impressed with the view and the restaurant . We had the artichoke dip with pita, which was very good. The chicken soup was homemade and excellent! Food is in generous portions!

Let the truth be told, people come here for the view, and we were no exception. We wanted to share the view with a family member visiting from out of state. We arrived at 2:30 so decided to have drinks and appetizers. The Bloody Mary, and the espresso martini were really good. The glass of wine, for the price, was... More

Been here many times. Sort of access to a Mt Washington restaurant and the legendary spectacular view that is less expensive than the other Mt Washington restaurants. I've never had a reservation and I've always been seated. Drinks a much better option than dinner. Other review: "go for the view, not the food", sums it up quite nicely. My most... More

A good place to grab a hamburger and take in the fantastic views. I am rating this excellent for its beautiful city views! Two of us had lunch here, we shared the hamburger and homemade fries, both were good. It is a great place to enjoy views of Pittsburgh and it's many many bridges. We enjoyed the views so much... The view is spectacular. You can sit outside on the deck or inside by the windows and see the river and downtown Pittsburgh. The service was also nice, but the food tasted like something I could make at home (and I'm not a chef!). Our salads were good, but the eggplant parmigiana was terrible. The sauce and noodles had a... More

Great place to sip cocktails and watch the city do it's thing. We did not eat, but our server was very attentive, view amazing, price was right , and we had a great time. So glad we made the trio.

The view is spectacular and very serene. We sat out on the patio and really enjoyed looking over at Pittsburgh, Heinz Field, where the three rivers meet. We went up the Dusquene Incline which is so cool. This is a great way to get to the restaurant and ride on an antique rail car going up the side of a... More

If you come to this place for the food, you are missing the point of the place. Sited at the top of Mount Washington, next to the Duquesne Incline upper station, The Grandview Saloon is all about the view. Period. Anything added to the view is pure bonus. There are two levels of outdoor terraces which offer spectacular views of... More

I took cousins from NC to this restaurant for the view. The name "Grandview Saloon" is not easily seen from the front entrance. It was $10 to park. The hostess stand is next to the kitchen cooking line. The atmosphere inside is desperately lacking. It looks like your siting in an old outdated kitchen next to a beautiful view. So,... More

The view was amazing... and being able to sit outside on the deck was nice. But that being said, the deck was packed! It was almost like a game of how many tables/chairs/people can you cram on a deck. It was hard to move about. Also, the food was lacking.. a lot. We only had appetizers, but still, we've had... More
