We decided to check this place out based on recommendations. The view is awesome, looking right down on the city and sports stadiums. The hostess and server were both very nice. Went on a Tuesday so there was no wait. Everything was great until the food came. My steak was very poor quality and had no flavor. Others in my... More

Food was average. We had a party of six. Appetizers were disappointing. Half the entrees were tasty. Great view and good service. I recommend eating dinner else where but this is a great place for a couple drinks!

I found the Coal Hill Steakhouse from on line searches and chose it because of the view of the Pittsburgh skyline. It was my wife's birthday and since I asked her to join me for this trip to Pittsburgh I wanted her to see the city with me. Service was great. The waitress was harm and pleasant, treated us great.... More

You come here for the view overlooking downtown Pittsburgh with Point State Park, the convergence of the Monongahela and Allegheny Rivers, PNC Park, and Heinz Field being the stars of that awesome view. And, if you get there by way of the Duquesne Incline, then all the better for you! The service is decent and the food is not bad.... More

You cannot beat the view from the deck.... Pittsburgh has a great skyline. Jalapeño crab dip was great, many good beers on tap. My wife and I enjoyed our visit.

Fun bar with a nice deck with a terrific view. Good service. Food is mediocre. Ordered crab cakes and they were ok. Medium pricey. This restaurant needs a complete overhaul. The carpet was dirty. Clean restrooms. The fine point about this place is the views.

Great view, but stick with the drinks and appetizers. The entrees leave a lot to be desired. Food is expensive and not very good.

The Grandview Saloon is the downstairs bar and patio area of the much more upscale Coal Hill Steakhouse on top of Mount Washington The same menu is available in the bar area as in the remainder of the restaurant.. It is fairly small with the entire front glass, giving an incredible view of the city. There is an outside patio... More

We loved the view and the waitress was very very nice. The appetizers were delicious but the entrees (crab cakes doughy and scallops burnt) were far less than expected. We would go back for drinks and the view and go somewhere else for dinner. The view is spectacular.

Took an out of town friend here for lunch. She was so impressed with the view and the restaurant . We had the artichoke dip with pita, which was very good. The chicken soup was homemade and excellent! Food is in generous portions!
