Top notch service

Visited this past week and had an excellent dining experience. The staff are all courteous and friendly and the food was fantastic. They validate parking as well in the attached garage. Visited this past week and had an excellent dining experience. The staff are all courteous and friendly and the food was fantastic. They validate parking as well in the attached garage. The only reason this is not a 5-star review is because I think the decor could use an update. Can't wait to return soon for another exceptional meal.

We always make a visit to try the special menu and wine pairing. The latest version was quite good along with fine wines. Clubby, warm atmosphere and extremely professional service. Free parking, too!

We had reservations for New Years Eve at the Carlton. While they were running behind because of the Holiday (to be expected), we were able to find seats at the bar. Dominic was such a great bartender, we decided to keep our seats at the bar for dinner. Our drinks were never empty, service was top of the line, and... More

The Carlton is one of Pittsburgh's finest restaurants. The food is always fresh, tasty and interesting. There are always some specials that will blow you away. The service is excellent. Highly recommended!

We hadn't been here for several years and remembered it as being classic and a lovely place for a nice dinner. Upon arriving, no offer was made to check coats. The two or three stairs leading to he dining room are worn down to bare wood and the carpeting looks old and worn. We had a party of six and... More

For years, we have went to the Carlton. Whether Beef, Veal, or Fish, the food has always exceeded our expectations. From the service to the presentation, to the temperature, everything is wonderful. Kevin Joyce and staff always makes us feel like family

The Carlton is overrated, in my opinion. We had very good food but the price was far above the quality.

I actually ate here two nights in a row. Had a full dinner the first night; ordered the petite filet oscar. There was nothing petite about it, it was large and delicious. I couldn't finish it all. The second night we arrived at 9:50 pm. Thought we would have a drink, but some members of our party decided to order... More

Great food - great wine - great service. What more could I say? I certainly recommend this restaurant to other people and I would definately eat there again when I am in the area.

We used to go here every year for a really nice dinner but the quality of food has really changed. Still expensive but seems to maybe cater to a different clientele. Our food was pretty average, nothing special, good wine list but Very pricey compared to other fine dining establishments. Wish they would get the pizaz back in their menu-
