Our group at work needed a place near by with food that would appeal to everyone so I choose The Carlton. I made the reservation through their web site and they had our spot all ready and waiting when we arrived. Everyone enjoyed their food and the service was great. My cajun/blackened barramundi was cooked perfectly and seasoned well -... More

If you're heading to a show in the Cultural District, the Carlton is a must, if you've never tried it. Great food, friendly service and a polished approach to their pre-theater crowd. They validate parking, whisk you to the theater in a complimentary limo or private car (make sure you tip!) that gets you in your seat before the show... More

We had not been to the Carlton for over 6 months so we decided to give it a try. In the past, I always ordered their beef Wellington but I saw it was no longer on the menu. I was disappointed as it was always such a great selection however they now have seafood Wellington. I do a lot of... More

I note a very poor review recently. I often read the bad reviews first. but folks, I really discount those who really bash a great place, and it is their only review, or they review very little and all are negative. My wife and I eat here very often as we live close. we love it, as do many of... More

My wife and I made reservations and were seated right away which was the only good thing about the evening. We were excited because this was one of the best reveiwed restaurants in Pittsburgh but we were greatly disappointed. Once we sat down we were given bread and water right away. 30 minutes go by, we were actually timing them,... More

We enjoyed a beautiful evening at The Carlton with friends for dinner. We had excellent service provided by Fay our waitress, the food was delicious and beautifully prepared, including an off the menu dinner to accommodate a vegan meal. The complimentary parking and limousine service to the Benedum Theater after dinner makes The Carlton a perfect choice for a lovely... More

Being formerly in management of a property that has both four and five diamond restaurants, I have always found The Carlton, as the most impressive restaurant. From their staff, the atmosphere and of course the food, it is as fine a restaurant should be. Recently, some colleagues were in from the west coast and I sent them there for dinner.... More

We were visiting our son since he moved to Pittsburgh for a job. We wanted something nice with good food. The Carllton has a great atmosphere, but the service was nothing special except for the water staff who kept filing our glasses. I ordered soup and my son an appetizer. It was tepid. The table next to us sent their... More
