Being fans of "Lidia's Italy" on PBS, we were tickled to find this restaurant. We had a lunch and a dinner there. Each time, the service was excellent and the food was so delicious! The menu was quite varied and everything was prepared beautifully.

Yes, you can find cheaper breakfasts in town. Probably in the Strip District. But will it be as good? In such an elegant, yet approachable space? And offer SO! MUCH! FOOD! I highly doubt it. Appetizers, and dessert on the buffet, your entree is brought to your table. Oh, did I mention that price includes a bloody mary or a... More

Six of us enjoyed a delicious leisurely Italian dinner at Lidia's in Pittsburgh's Strip District last evening! Most of us opted for the all you can eat Pasta Trio which includes different pastas each night. All three pastas were totally made in house and were wonderful. Since Lidia's also offers some gluten free pastas, my wife was thrilled by the... More

We visit family every year in Oakmont PA, and must make a trip downtown to Lidia's. We went for lunch and had the three pasta (all you could eat) meal. Wonderful. Service was great. Can't wait till our next trip up north!

Three of us had a wonderful dinner in Pittsburgh recently. We started with the antipasti platter which was more than enough for three. I had the caprese salad which had heirloom tomatoes and homemade mozzarella, and the gnocchi. They were light and wonderful and with the duck Bolognese not overly heavy. A friend's panna cotta was not the best, but... More

My family and I drove 6 hours from Michigan last week to celebrate my birthday at Lidia's in Pittsburgh. This was our first time there and we were more than impressed! Our family loves Italian food and this was the very best we have ever had! From the moment you walk in the door to the appetizers, entrees, dessert, and... More

What a treat. We were in town visiting my Dad and exploring the city. My kids and I love watching cooking shows together and mentioned that to my Dad. He surprised us by taking us all to dinner at Lidia's. I can't say enough about the service. Everyone was warm, welcoming, neat, knowledgeable and attentive. I checked what others were... More

this was my second time, and I don't think I would return. I think the food is pretty good, but overpriced, although I do realize you're in a city. This time, we had an early dinner reservation (6:15) and they didn't have a listed beer, and were out of two of their entrees. How does that happen? The pasta trio... More

I've eaten here twice within the last few weeks, once for work and once with family. My first trip I made the mistake of endlessly browsing the menu and eventually ordered the Salsicce which ended up being a great dish. Even while enjoying my meal, I was envious of my colleague who ordered the pasta trio. The trio is an... More

The pasta trio was very well done. The three all you can eat pastas are brought individually to your table by three servers. The salads are very large and can easily be shared.
