We were in the mood for italian and our hotel suggested Lidia's. A real nice room with great service. We had fried calamari, cooked just right and grilled octopuss which was EXCELLENT. i ordered lasagna with a bolonaise sauce that was close to perfect. My wife and I live in VA and like to go to Pittsburgh for the museums and food, especially Italian food. So for the past three years, we have eaten at Lidia's, always a special treat. Sadly, no more. We ate there this past week and decided to try the 'Tuscan Grill' dinner special. The best part of the meal... More

Our waiter, Bobby, was very helpful and attentive. He definitely gave us well above average service. Other staff were also excellent. Food was very good. We felt very well taken care of.

We live about 30 minutes away, and we were running late, so happy to have valet parking! We went in and were seated right away. I keep ordering the same thing, time after time. Yes there were kids there and no we never take our kids here we consider this our 'date night' place. We love the staff. The presentation... More

Lidia's Italy is located in Pittsburgh's Strip District. It's a wonderful Italian restaurant with a touch of modern appeal. The food is rich with Italian flavors and culture.. The overall service is Outstanding. .

We are here while visiting nearby colleges. I would call the food at this restaurant Tuscan Italian. If your looking for traditional Italian there are no options here. The portions are very small with a very limited menu. The service was excellent. They do have a valet for $7 who was extremely friendly. If I was back in the area... More

Enjoyable dining experience, great food, good service, and a lovely atmosphere. Worth a visit! There is a nightly all you can eat pasta special featuring three different pastas, each prepared differently. Husband and son loved the special.

My husband and I try to visit Lidia's at least once a month, because we're never disappointed with the experience. While my husband is a fan of the pasta trio (fine by me since I get to taste) andn I've enjoyed the salmon, the osso bucco and the duck gnocci, I find myself coming back to the lemon/caper chicken breast... Had dinner in Lidia's Saturday night before attending the men's NCAA tournamnet games and had a very nice experience. We got a giant upstairs room and had a jolly time with highly attentive service. Food was good not great but this is a nice place and both my wife and i enjoyed it.
