Have gone to Lidia's many times over the past several years. Nice menu selection and wine list. The last 2 visits, have just eaten at the bar. EXCEPTIONAL service from Paul the bartender. He is very friendly, great knowledge of the menu. GREAT experience! Highly recommend.

I went to Lidia's yesterday after a visit to the Andy Warhol Museum. I had great expectations because I enjoy BECCO in NYC. The staff was wonderful, friendly & helpful. The food was lackluster. The 3 pastas were terrible. the ravioli overcooked and waterlogged. The orrechetti with broccoli rabe pesto was tasteless. The salads tasted all the same. What a... More

I was looking forward to a good meal in a nice restaurant for our daughter's birthday. Lidia's appeared to fit the fairly picky eaters in our group. The food was just okay, the names and descriptions 'tasted' better than what actually was served. The presentation and service was very good. This review is directly related to my experience with and... More

The three pasta dinner served direct from the pan tableside was delicious. The atmosphere is relaxed and comfortable. We were well served and yet never felt rushed.

This place is very hit or miss depending one what you order. The mushroom raviolis live up to the hype but a lot of the other dishes are just ok in my book. Their cooking techniques are solid and the meat dishes comes out tender and juicy however the flavor is missing :0( for Italian food in pittsburgh you can... More

Lidia's is a great choice for a business meal. Service is excellent. The pasta trio is homemade and served at the table, with unlimited refills. Pricey yet worth it.

I really don't have all of the words I need for this restaurant. I have 25 years of food service and really enjoyed myself. Restaurant is in the heart of the Strip District and very easy to find. Valet parking or plenty of paid public parking one block away. The staff swarms you at just the right times. My wife... More

Walked to Lidia's from the strip district for lunch. Surprised at lunch buffet. They serve a buffet on Saturday and Sunday. I don't think they offer a regular menu, so come hungry. But I could be wrong....call if you want to order off the menu. They have a great buffet concept. You order off the menu for your main course.... More

We were recently at Lidia's in Pittsburgh for a 50th Anniversary party. We had the upstairs room, which was just the right size...not so small that we couldn't move around & not so big that you felt like you were in an airplane hanger. The acoustics could be better but that's to be expected when you are in a repurposed... More

Two of us went for Sunday brunch as it's one of those things you have to do. We enjoyed ourselves and were very satisfied with the service and the meal. Food selections were more than adequate at the antipasti table as well as the dessert table. My wife had gnocchi and I had the special of the day which was... More
