Good Italian/American food

This was our second visit, while not as great as the first still a wonderful night. The staff was very accommodating and attentive. The food was good but not as well prepared as our last visit. The broccoli rabe was limp and under seasoned. The lasagna was good but not hot enough and the trio of... read more

My wife is a fan of Lidia's PBS show, and we were hungry for Italian food, so we went to Lidia's restaurant in Pittsburgh...what a treat! The venue itself is very impressive--very spacious, modern décor, and with high ceilings. There were only a few diners there on the night (Wednesday) we visited, but I'm sure this place is packed on... More

I've been to Lidia's twice now and both times I was very happy with the wonderful food and service. The pasta trio is always my favorite item on the menu. Waitstaff is very knowledgeable of menu and always helpful. Will definitely be going back again!

We are fans of Lidia's cooking show on PBS, and her restaurant did not disappoint. Beautiful glass hung from the ceilings and a huge fireplace filled the corner of the room. Our waiter, Chance, was extremely helpful in giving suggestions on food and answering questions about the building and the menu. His wine recommendations were spot on with the food... More

My fiancé and I were in Pittsburgh for the weekend house hunting. We went to dinner at Lidia's on Saturday, May 23rd. Our thoughts: 1. We are both Italian so our threshold for good Italian food is fairly high. The meal was as close to perfect as one can get. 2. We had the pasta sampler special. Its three different... More

By far the best Italian in the burgh! It comes at a cost, but not too obnoxious. The endless pasta trio, boar ravioli, don't get me started, this place is divine.

We decided on Lidia's since we could walk from our hotel. Didn't realize that we needed reservations, but were fortunate enough to get a table. And my husband and I were so glad we got that table! We both selected the unlimited pasta trio which also included a huge caesar salad and a variety of breads. The pasta was served... More

Once or twice a year my husband and I treat ourselves to the wonderful brunch at Lidia's. On a typical weekend day the brunch served at Lidia's is not only economical but abundant and delicious. The service is always impeccable during these visits as well. We decided to treat my mother and my sister to a mother's day brunch this... More

It was a great dinner. Every dish was superb. The waitstaff was super efficient and the food arrived quickly. It was an enjoyable evening until the check arrived, but I guess you get what you pay for.

Chose Lidia's for Mother's Day. Our waiter wasn't very friendly, and initially made us feel rushed. We were seated at two round tables pushed together, with leaves up. This was awkward seating fir a group because the round tables make gaps in spacing. Why not use a rectangle shape? We had a few issues with determining splitting the bill. The... More
