A Night Out

We went to Lidia's on a Saturday night for an adult dinner. We arrived early and was quickly taken to our table. Our waiter was very nice and took time to explain all the dishes or any appetizers what was served. It was very loud in there so if you are looking to have a conversation and in a... read more

Another delicious meal at Lidia's. The homemade fettucini and ravioli were outstanding. They are part of Lidia's famous pasta Tasting Trio. The service was excellent; the server even remembered us from another visit and we had not been to the restaurant in over a year. The tiramasu was also excellent

I really think I might have rated Lidia's terrible if it wasn't for the bar snack offerings and very friendly bartenders. We enjoyed ourselves there and then were seated for dinner. The menu items sound great but that's where it ends. I had read the poor ratings for the Caesar Salad and almost didn't get it but then thought....Lidia has... More

This is a lovely, charming restaurant in the historic district of Pittsburgh. Nice lighting, fabric table clothes, lovely decor. Attentive staff that go all out to please. I especially appreciated their pleasant willingness to modify meals to individual tastes and requests. Entrees be they pasta, meat or soup were all very good. Its biggest downfall is that you must compete... More

We visited Lidia's on a Sunday evening. We had a very nice experience, from the wait staff to the food. I was not disappointed. The wine list was extensive, and the waiter did a great job with recommendations. We don't get to Pittsburgh often, so this was a nice treat.

I know food - I buy cook books, read food blogs, I cook and I really enjoy it. I can definitely cook a better pasta than this place can offer. I was there for dinner with my husband. I had the garganelli with fried shrimp, and the pasta was so undercooked I left like 80% of it; the garlic lemon... More

A fan of Lidia, I have eaten in a few of her restaurants and this is the first that disappointed. The staff was attentive and the service very good but the restaurant itself had a smell that put my palate off. It is not the first time I have smelled this in a restaurant that has smelled like this (the... More

Really just one of the worst restaurants, ever. Chicken Scaloppini was not pounded thin, the sauce was so salty it was inedible. Caesar salad was below mediocre, no real discernible taste. Two small scoops of the most unappetizing bread accompaniment's, one an awful bean of some disgusting variety, the other maybe kalamata? Hard to tell from the taste but visually... More
