Fresh food, tasty, innovative menu, and nice cocktails

I have been to Kaya at least three other times and I'll tell you about what I've noted as far as consistency-- they are consistent! The cocktails are fun and well-made. The meals are described properly and what comes to the table is what I would expect after reading the menu copy. The food itself... read more

We went on Wednesday, when they have a four-course vegetarian prix fixe menu. It's very popular, so we had to sit at the bar (where service was very good). The portions were a bit skimpy, but it was the best vegetarian food I've ever had (I'm not a vegetarian). The regular-menu dishes (vegetarian and otherwise) also looked excellent (and larger).... Menu was different. It was on the line of Aztec / Caribbean food. Portions were large. Hamburger was too large to fit in a big mans mouth. Had to be eaten with knif and fork. Which was pretty messy. The pulled pork and banana sandwich was very good. Glad I got the half size. Wings were very good. Service was... More

I love Kaya. I really do. I'm a vegetarian in a family of adventurous (but not toooo adventurous) eaters. We love coming here as a family and trying something kinda different and new... but nothing scary and bizarre. The menu is large and diverse and the wait staff has always been willing to make recommendations and accommodations. The only not-so-great... More

On Thursdays they serve FRIED CHICKEN . It looked fabulous and the people I asked said it was fantastic. being from the south we passed and ordered small plates and entrees that were fabulous. The seasonings used made every dish a TASTY experience

I love fried chicken. So when I heard Kaya had a Thursday night special on it I was ready to go. On my way I spoke on the phone with a friend who had gone with neighbors who loved it and wanted he and his wife to try it. He said that maybe he had gone on a bad night... More

I love the choices here! Some fresh and great dishes especially the Caribbean salad. I even gave it an excellent score despite being dissatisfied with my waitress last time. Was not very good as evidenced by her poor tip! Been here 3 times this year and only 1 time had poor service...

I'll just copy the email I sent to Big Burrito (the parent company) officers including Tom Baron, President, Cary Klein, CEO and Gloria Sciarrapa, VP of Operations. If I get some resolution, I will certainly post accordingly. The email serves as my review: I have copied the three of you on this message, because I felt that all of you... More

I don't think I have ever seen such an eclectic variety of food. Well, not to this high standard anyway! Great selection of drinks too. Service wasn't the fastest, but our waitress made up for it with friendliness. Atmosphere was good. Fun all-round experience.

Great food! Perfect portions! Great waitstaff! Great happy hour! Got the blue crab and dreamed buns with fish tacos as main course. Awesome! Cilantro martinis are very interesting and good!
