Kaya is a welcomed change from the typical restaurants that you find in Pittsburgh's Strip District. Most of the restaurants in the strip area offer good "Pittsburghese" food but, this is often heavy or fried. Kaya offers a welcomed menu that is light and very flavorful. Lots of spice! The servings are filling. The atmosphere inside is cool and tropical feeling... More

We recently went there with friends and we all had a delicious meal! The menu wasn't the same as what was on the website, so they didn't have what I was going to order ( they do change it) but we all enjoyed our meal! We all split the alligator appetizer as a novelty and were pleasantly surprised at how... More

I decided to try this place while in town for a pirates game. Although I always go to pirmantis while in pittsburgh this time I wanted something different since I had my wife and my 2 year old with me. We chose kaya because we love caribbean food. We we were impressed with the food. We ordered the conch fritters... More

We went with a group of 10 for lunch. It was unanimous .... loved it! Our table had a variety of food and everyone was happy. Huge beer menu but don't overlook the cocktails. We had a great drink and a fun conversation with the bartender who is very committed to her craft.

Went there for a late lunch after browsing through the market. Food and service was exceptional - just what we needed on a warm, humid day. So many wonderful things oin the menu. We decided on a wonderful strawberry gazpacho soup, fish tacos and pulled pork & banana sandwich. All was very tasty and wonderfully presented. Worth a trip from... More

The only place that I've came across in the downtown area for such quality Caribbean food..the conch is mandatory. Great location and I was really happy with the service provided. It's a little expensive, but I went during lunch to compensate for the price. The bar looked beyond capable of a hosting a happy hour a few hours later.

Had a great Sunday brunch. Huevos ranchers were fantastic with the house made chorizo. Shrimp & scallop ceviche and chicken & waffles were delicious. Corn & conch chowder didn't taste right and the manager came right out to check in with me and agreed it wasn't right and took it off the check. Staff were all wonderful. Would definitely go... More

Have visited Kaya's numerous times when in Pittsburgh. Never had a bad meal. Variety is great, food even better. Best Cuban sandwich I have had. Jamaican jerked wings were fabulous. Food, drinks, and service combine to be one of the best restaurant experiences we have ever had. Try it, you'll like it.

Our party of four stopped by for a late sunday Brunch...there was not wait and we chose to sit outside. Our server was prompt and friendly, but not over bearing. There were 15-20 items to choose from and they were a wonderful mixture of flavors and textures. Hubby choose a shrimp omelet with a side of chorizo sausage....the plate came... More

Unique menu, super friendly staff. Reasonably priced. We like to really venture out and try different places when we travel. This is a great little place to try! Something on the menu for everyone. Unique drinks.
