Some very nice vegan and vegetarian options at this upscale yet warm and friendly restaurant. Our waiter was super helpful. Great choice of wine and beer as well. Caribbean-influenced menu with lots of fresh ingredients. Heirloom tomato salad as an app and the Corn Tostada with black beans as entree were good choices. We were looking for a place for a larger party on a Saturday night and Monica the Manager made it happen, they worked hard to call and confirm all of the reservations so they could accommodate us Our out of town guests really enjoyed everything about the experience, and we would not hesitate to return on a regular basis. Great... More

My wife and I stopped at Kaya on our way to the airport. We had heard about it and finally find the time to go. We arrived a 6 and realized that it was Happy Hour (Monday - Friday until 6:30). Drinks served by the glass were half off - A great deal! We decided to share a few appetizers... More

I had high hopes of Kaya. I really like the atmosphere of the restaurant, even though we sat on the small patio lining the building. The food, however, was just okay. We started with the Cajun Alligator. I have never had alligator, so I'm not sure if it is always like this, but for me, it was very tough. For... More

We went on a Thursday for lunch. My husband and I split our lunch. We had the corn and lentil beignets with curry sauce, which was outstanding. Also enough for two people, easily. Then we shared the tropical paella, which according to the waiter, was their signature dish. The mussels were great but the rest was just okay. Good but... More

So much flavor. I love this place. I always want to get the fish tacos because they are so good but all the food is so crisp and flavorful, they have a nice selection of microbrew beer. Love love love this place

We had to change our reservations from a party of four to a party of six and we found the manager, Monika, very accommodating. She bent over backwards to seat us comfortably. We arrived early on a Saturday evening and the table was ready. Our waiter was very attentive. I'm not sure about our fellow diners but my husband and... More

Kaya is a welcomed change from the typical restaurants that you find in Pittsburgh's Strip District. Most of the restaurants in the strip area offer good "Pittsburghese" food but, this is often heavy or fried. Kaya offers a welcomed menu that is light and very flavorful. Lots of spice! The servings are filling. The atmosphere inside is cool and tropical feeling... More

We recently went there with friends and we all had a delicious meal! The menu wasn't the same as what was on the website, so they didn't have what I was going to order ( they do change it) but we all enjoyed our meal! We all split the alligator appetizer as a novelty and were pleasantly surprised at how... More
