Maybe the prices are very good but you get what you pay for. $10 for 2 lobster roll was a great deal. The lobster roll was not the best but it was quite good. Worth eating. The lobster-crap bisque soup was runny and just OK. The lobster mac and cheese was also just OK and did not have much lobster... More

Recently went to buy the 1 pound fish sandwich at the food counter. The fish was plentiful, but was either not done enough or the whiting was not of high quality that it usually is. The fried fish was greyish in color and seemed that it was not the good white texture usually offered at lunch.

Was here a year ago and it was the most memorable meal/experience of my Pittsburgh trip. Returned this year, was NOT disappointed. FAB fish sandwich, best ever (really). Great sushi too. Threw in a couple of oysters out front, wow, what a meal. And a fun place to walk around with the kids. An institution, and deservedly so.

We tried a couple of the mixers made in-house. Wow! Great mixology in this place! The food looked great but we had just had lunch elsewhere. Would love to come back again next time.

My girlfriend and I love coming to Wholey's. This place has everything. The lay out of fresh fish is amazing you can get just about any type of fish that you want here and some types you can get fresh out of the fish tank like trout and whiting. They will also cut them up right in front of you.... More

I love shopping for seafood and meat here as it is super fresh, good quality, and you can find things that you would never find in a giant eagle. The escargot is really good and conveniently packed with butter and parsley already - yum. I also like to eat here, the fried fish is really good and so is anything... More

Excellent fish sandwich and sushi all made fresh while you wait. There is a huge eating area upstairs where you can take your food to eat. It's a fish market and grocery store. There is so much to see if you wander around. Parking is free if you shop at Wholly's!

Wholey's is a must-see in Pittsburgh. It's not just a store, it's an experience. Once you go, you know. Whole fish laid out on ice, big cuts of meat, fresh sushi, huge fish sandwiches all in a fun atmosphere... What's not to love?
