"Great softshell crab sandwich - plenty of upsatirs seating"

Been to Wholey's a few times - "The Whaler" is their forte'. I tried the softshell crab sandwich this time - they dip the two crabs into the flour and fry em' in front of you. The potato chips are great - can't beat the large portions. Get the "combo" with any meal for three bucks more - includes... read more

Not really a seafood fan. Had a piece of almost burnt dried out chicken. Fries were okay. Thought it was a little pricey, a busy atmosphere upstairs in dinning. The live seafood was fun to watch swim

First time at Wholey's and there was nothing special about the food we ordered. I had the shrimp po boy and it was very salty and greasy. I couldn't finish it. My parents had the cod sandwich which was very greasy. The only semi good thing we had was the clam chowder. Will not order ever again.

We had not been to the strip district for about 3 years. We decided to eat in Wholey’s since we haven’t been there for awhile and we used to eat there about 3 or 4 times a year for the past 35 years. We were very disappointed. The fish was greasy, thin and rubbery. I probably should have taken it... More

My wife ordered the Cod and I ordered the Whitefish, then we gave each other half to share. Both were great. The portions are huge. We eat here every time we visit Pittsburgh! You order and pay to the left of the door, then you can take your tray to the second floor, past the ice machine that tells you... More

The Whaler is the largest fish sandwich I have ever seen in my life! If you are searching for any type of seafood it is available here. Great staff and a staple of the strip.

This is a place out of the past. You would think you were in Boston along the harbor when you walk into here, but you are just off the river in Pittsburgh. They have fresh fish galore to take home. This is a great place to buy some unique items and finish it off with some deep fried cod in... More

We will definitely take a cooler the next time we go. The lobster and crab legs are huge, and Andy's sushi is a must.

We were visiting from Florida and went to the strip. This was a nice experience. The area was suited nicely for strolling and people watching but the whole shopping experience at Wholey's was a huge WOW.

the sushi line was LONG, waited at least 15 minutes to get to front of the line. But Andy makes some damn fine sushi. I'll wait again next time. Very accommodative to special requests.
