Don't be afraid of the $7 lobster roll - ITS AWESOME

Ordered the $7 lobster roll on the street - it was fabulous. 1/4 lb of fresh lobster meat (that was properly chilled), light mayo dressing, and a good roll, brushed with fresh melted butter. It was so good I could have eaten two of them. A good lunch and a good deal.

Whenever we go to the Strip District of Pittsburgh, Wholey's is a "Must Go To" stop. The place is huge, selling more and different types of fish than anywhere in Pittsburgh. Go to the back right corner. They're always slicing up a giant tune , wahoo, or grouper! Totally fascinating! Then, right next to that area are giant tanks of... More

We ordered the fish sandwich combo which was delicious. We also tried the butterfly shrimp and the lobster bisque. Both were very tasty. I would recommend this place if you don't mind the cafeteria style line.

If you like fried fish this is a must visit if you're in Pittsburgh. Bring an appetite because the sandwiches are large. Don't miss the free parking across the street. Check the web for hours as they don't stay open very late.

Wholey's offers fresh fish, seafood, and meat in the retail store. They also have a wholesale business. You can also buy fish sandwiches, etc. Many workers buy their lunches here. Worth the trip.

Robert Wholey's most popular attraction seems to be the hot food inside of the store. Unfortunately, since there was a long line, I was short on time and stomach space, I didn't get a chance to try any of the seafood sandwiched I read such good things about. Instead, I tried the lobster rolls they were selling outside. For $7,... More

Wholley a has the best fish sandwich in the Burgh. This is a grocery store that also serves food like a cafeteria line. I always run in to get it to go. The fried clams are delicious! The lobster mac and cheese is out of this world. And the fish sandwiches are fried right in front of you. You can... More

Been going to Wholey's for well over 30 years. This is one of the best, freshest fish sandwiches ever made. The onion rings are delicious and the Lobster Mac & Cheese is incredible. Anything sold in the kitchen area is always fresh and good. If you are in the Strip District don't miss Wholey's!
