Incredibly scrumptous pancakes, etc.

My wife ordered the pancakes for breakfast, and we've never had anything quite so good. Of course, we didn't want to know how many calories they were. Melt in your mouth, sweet and tasty, and nothing like it anywhere else we've been. I had the eggs, or French toast, don't remember now, but... read more

My coworkers and I eat here regularly for our Saturday morning breakfasts. Everything I have had here is wonderful. The potatoes, the pancakes, and the atmosphere make it a local favorite. I would recommend it highly to anyone who likes good company and good food, everyone there is always friendly and dedicated.

We had heard of Pamela's and were able to eat there for the first time. There was a line but it moved quickly. Seating is tight but it gives to the atmosphere. The breakfast was absolutely delicious! I had the banana and chocolate chip stuffed pancakes and they were heavenly. My husband had the classic eggs, toast, bacon, and hash... More

I love my pancakes thin and crispy. These were the best pancakes I've ever had. The homemade syrup didn't hurt either. Definitely a quick and delicious place to eat.

We had heard a lot about Pamela's and travelled up to Shady Side to visit one location. We got there just before lunchtime and the place was already hopping. Most folks had enormous breakfasts in front of them, but we wanted lunch. We got an Oaklander (turkey rueben almost) and a grilled cheese club; sides were onion rings and potatoes... More

I love the Waffle's there. I will drive 2 hours to get a Belgium Waffle here. The top 3 in the world for sure as I rate them internationally. It's a wonderful breakfast cafe, with small town charm, fantastic staff, food always good. I'm a loyal lover for life!

Even though there was a line to get in, it moved quickly and was definitely worth the wait. They are known for their crepe style pancakes - paper thin, crispy and delicious. We had the "Morning After Special" - aptly named - which matched the pancakes with eggs (done as requested) and choice of meat. Cheap and yummy. But be... More

Watching the breakfast crowd on Saturday mornings at Pamela's is a typical Pittsburgh experience, as you enjoy a huge waffle, generous French toasts and refills of coffee. Don't miss it!

Pamela's has a long and storied reputation for its crepe pancakes, and the reputation is well deserved. The corned beef hash is also right there at the top. Unfortunately, after that, you are hard pressed to find anything more than ordinary. The bacon and sausage are no better than basic supermarket quality items, when so many other restaurants are offering... More

Tasty food. Delicious pancakes (with many options) and, finally, a place that knows how to cook eggs just right (neither underdone or dried out). A definite stop for any first time Pittsburgh visitor. (This review is of the Shadyside location)
