Best place to experience a Pittsburgh Pancake

The pancakes are delicious, with many options to choose from. The portions are large and price is reasonable. Just note, they only take cash.

Great breakfast food! Visited on a Sunday so only breakfast foods sold but they were wonderful! Thin, crispy lace-edged pancakes, fluffy eggs, choice of protein, chorizo hash, bottomless coffee. If you get there and have to wait, wait!! NOTE: Cash only but prices are fair for what you get.

A reasonably priced breakfast joint that is really busy and deserves to be. Excellent eggs and omelets and all the other usual breakfast fair. Especially enjoyed the pancake.

It was recommended to my two friends and I from a local person we met at the Steelers game as we were renting a place in Shadyside. From our service to our food, everything was great!

I love Pamelas but first time visiting this one. Had to wait about 30 mins which is normal but pancakes were great as usual.

The meals, cleanse, and service is average. This place is mediocre and I wouldn't go back. I have eaten there several times nothing has change maybe the only good thing about it was trying to get you out there.

The pancakes are unique, tasty, and worth a try at least once. Order them "extra crispy." I've been to Pamela's a few times over the years on my visits to Pittsburgh, and while I would never turn down a breakfast at this retro little joint, I could easily be persuaded to go elsewhere.

I have lived near Pittsburgh my whole life and have never made the time to come here. I moved away a year ago and on my visit home we stopped by, I can't believe it took me so long. DELICIOUS! I was so full, but couldn't stop eating because it was too good. It's a very busy, small diner that... More

The blueberry hotcakes were out of this world! They are a little like crepes with blueberries and whipped cream rolled up inside. It is definitely a campus favorite.
