I felt I walked into my grandmother's generation with all the photos on the walls. Lovely classic theme. Ham/egg/cheese sandwich was a winner for us.

Pamela's was highly recommended as "the place to go" for breakfast and this was supported by the crowd waiting for tables. That said, it was an average experience. Definitely not a place to go on a lazy Sunday wishing to sip coffee, browse the newspaper and eat a leisurely breakfast. The wait was about 30 minutes, tables too close for... More

Best crepe-type pancakes in Pittsburgh. Worth the wait (especially weekends). Cash only but ATM is nearby. Try pecan Banana or blueberry..actually forgot to look for Syrup till pancakes were gone.

go for breakfast and have lyonnaise potatoes. The hash was excellent and Gails eggs with cream cheese and scallions are to die for. Loved it.

We were in the neighborhood for several days and kept seeing a bunch of people hanging outside a certain nondescript door - turns out it was Pamela's Restaurant, known particularly for their crepe-style pancakes. So on a Monday, we stopped by and were thrilled we did. If you like thin pancakes, you will not be disappointed. Melty, buttery, crispy around... More

Looking for a place for breakfast in Shady Side. Read the reviews and tried Pamela's. Tuesday morning - got the mushroom/cheese omelet. It was very good and pretty good sized! Next time, I would ask for 1/2 the cheese though. Had TONS, almost too much. The potatoes they are known for were awesome! Has a cheesy light sauce on them,... More

My husband loves pancakes and he loves crepes so when this place was recommended I knew we had to go here. It did not disappoint. He said they were "killer". They refer to them as hotcakes. They are huge and looked delicious. I had the Tex Mex omelette and it did not disappoint either. Delicious! They are busy, but there... More

I love almost everything I have ever had over the years I have been going to this super-diner. They have the BEST pancakes!!! Really they are crepe-like, platter-covering, mouth-watering flap jacks straight from Heaven! The turkey sausage is tasty, the potatoes are to die for, toast is, well, toast. But please Don't Eat The Bacon!!! They have enough other goodies... More

There's something about a good (great) breakfast place that stays with you, maybe because breakfast is supposed to be the most important meal of the day? All of Pamela's restaurants consistently serve up the best eggs, potatoes and pancakes (outstanding pancakes) around. I'm not a fan of 'cash only' restaurants but all is forgiven once the meal is served. And... More
