Oh, my, what a breakfast!

We walked to this location of Pamela's on Walnut Street from our room at Shadyside Inn. We were pretty early, around 9, and the place was packed. It was a weekday. We were seated quickly and had a look at the menu. Wow, super variety! And when we got our food we realized that maybe we should have... read more

After the Bach,Beethoven and Brunch concert in Mellon Park this past Sunday by West Hills Symphonic Band, the spouse and I with friends went to Pamela's on Walnut street in Shadyside. I have heard about this place from just about everyone in Pittsburgh. Friends had always gone earlier and never had a long wait. They found a parking space immediately... More

Delicious. Long wait... 40 minutes.... Went shopping at the retail shops on the street.... Came back and enjoyed all I could eat.

Too many good choices to mention, but for the first-timers, go for the signature crepe pancakes. The crossiant french toast is excellent as well (but, very sweet).

Great breakfast. Tough choice on deciding on having the potato's or pancakes with the eggs. Both are really good. Only way to improve menu is to offer REAL maple syrup.

We had a pretty long wait (about 20 minutes) for our breakfast. Tables are close together and very crowed. The food selection on the menu was good and the quality was also pretty good. I was expecting a little better based on what people told me. Wasn't bad, just did not WOW me.

I ordered two eggs, bacon, and the famous hotcakes. The eggs and bacon were average, but the pancakes were unbelievably good. I've never had crepe style pancakes like those, but they were awesome. Of all the places we ate at in Pittsburgh, this is the first place I'll be recommending.

They have pancakes that are like non other. They have a recipe that no one tries to copy because I really think no one would get it right.

Always a delicious treat to eat at Pamela's! If you are in the mood for sweet or savory, they have you covered. My favorite is surely the banana chocolate crepes and the strawberry crepes are awesome too! Their omelets are fabulous too. Their potatoes are beyond words! If they do not come with your meal, make sure to order them!... More
