We recently came back from NYC, mostly to eat our way through Manhattan. We followed Zagat's and our gut but never had a better meal than we get at Umi. It's sushi as an experience. A friend and I made reservations a week ahead, and the staff could not have been more accomodating. Our waitress was pleasant and eager to answer questions about the menu. The restaurant is dimly-lit and very cozy; an ideal spot for a quiet dinner. The food was delicious. more
