Though the reviews were good, our experience was not good. The service was mediocre to poor; and the quality of the food was uneven. The tomato bisque was quite good, but the goat cheese salad was so-so, and the sandwiches were nothing to rave about. The ambiance "outside" was comfortable at best. We will try it again, I guess.

When we come to Pittsburgh we often make a weekend of it. We have been to many restaurants and off the wall places, but So far this has been the best meal we've had !! I would recommend this restaurant to anyone (who can afford a 130$ meal for two) looking for a nice romantic setting.

I have not been to Casbah for years and was looking forward to having lunch at the restaurant today. The appetizers, three different types of hummus and fried calamari were excellent. I have crabcake sandwich which was OK. But the service could be much improved. The waiter seemed really rushed. When asked "What are the specials today?", the response was... More

I live in Pittsburgh and go to Casbah as often as my wallet allows! This is definitely one of my favorite restaurants in the Pittsburgh area! The menu changes frequently, which is great for repeat customers, although this makes it a little harder for me as a vegetarian because there are not always multiple vegetarian entree options from which to... Service and food were excellent! The beet salad was very fresh and enjoyable; try it and if you don't like beets, you will. Would commend and will go there again! A pleased West Virginia couple.

Top five of all time best restaurants I've ever eaten in. All their pasta are made fresh on premise, all chicken is organically fed and from local farms. Seafood is mouthwatering. Every morsel was absolutely delicious and so flavorful. A absolute must go to in Pittsburgh!

My sister and I share a birthday and decided to use our Big Burrito birthday card to celebrate, and as always we and her husband had a wonderful time. The Bruscetta appetizer was terrific with its surprising ingredients of sour dough, squash spread, and pomegranate seeds. Really a very imaginative combination. Our entrees, Squash Risotto, Gnocchi, and Long Island Duck... More

We went this past weekend for a friend's birthday. Food was excellent! Ambiance was great for our group who rarely gets adult time without kids. Definitely recommend it! The soup was devine however the lamb was so-so. Everyone else was very happy with their dishes, especially the seafood ones. Chocolate bread pudding was amazing!

Our son recommended this place for lunch on a cold sleety day in Pittsburgh. Fortunately the semi-tent covered entrance seating area was heated nicely by overhead radiant heating. A beginning with several mediterranean starters that consisted of some great cheeses, pita bread with humus, bobagnush (sp) and other sauces and scallops. Hardly needed more. Unbelievably our son and the waitress... More
