This was one of our great go to restaurants in Pittsburgh. The arugula salad still stands as the gold standard. Excellent fish, lamb, desserts. We went for years when we lived there.

My wife and I went to Casbah based on reading online reviews and were not disappointed. The service was top notch. Friendly and engaging. The appetizers were flavorful and palate pleasing. The main courses were attractive, tasty and filling. The desert was tasty. The wine selection was nice. Could have been better. There could have been more mid-range wines. You... More

Stumbled in here because my son had an apartment across the street. After I got over the sticker shock since we were just looking for a place to chat and grab dinner, we had a wonderful meal. Locally sourced meats, veggies, etc. Interesting combinations and beautiful presentation. Wonderful service from our waiter and interesting cocktails that I couldn't try as... More

Dinner for 10. Everybody enjoyed food and service. No negative comments. Wine list rather expensive.

Recently my wife and I, along with 8 other friends went to Casbah for dinner. Parking for the restaurant can be found on the street, but they have valet parking as well. Once inside, we were seated in the front "patio" area. The first thing I and several in our party noticed was the heaters above working overtime, so much... More

Went to Casbah last night for my moms milestone birthday as well as my nephew's second one. Excellent food and drinks. Had the shrimp/calamari, octopus and meatball apps. Dinners were SeaBass, Filet and Pasta. Only slight negative is that is took 3 hours to eat. Service was good, but the atmosphere is not conducive to eating / ordering fast. We... More

The restaurant has several areas for eating. The outside patio which is opened and enclosed all year was very energetic to possibly noisy. We ate downstairs in the wine cellar which was more intimate. The appetizers were generous in size, Gnudi-tuna- tartare-bay scallops. I had the lamb shank which was very tasty. Others in the group had fish. For dessert,... More

Beautiful warm fall evening and this restaurant made the evening even better. I promised a friend that I would treat him for his birthday and he was very happy that I picked this restaurant. From the tuna tartar appetizer to his seafood pasta dish to the happy birthday dessert he was very happy. My swordfish was amazing and when I... More

Casbah now ranks on my very short list of restaurants that I wish to re-visit. My wife, son, and I visited during the week of the Spanish tasting menu. I opted for that menu and the wine pairings. Every course of the meal was excellent as were the wine pairings. The service was attentive and the pricing appropriate for this... More
