We had breakfast here on a busy Saturday morning. Arrived at 9:30 and waited about 25 minutes. Service was good, menu extensive. Had the California omelette; didn't care for it because each of the different ingredients was clumped in a different part of the omelette, not mixed together before the eggs were added. Seems silly to write that, but just... More

Looking for the best breaksfast in the Strip District, we decided to try this place. When we arrived around 10 am on Saturday morning the line was quite long. We decided to wait to see what all they hype was about. After 45 minutes in line on the sidewalk we finally made it into the restaurant. To my surprise there... More

As our pre game meal we decided to go to DeLuca's in the strip district of Pittsburgh. Mixed emotions about the result. The food was excellent the service not so much. Yes they were busy but looked well staffed in respect to numbers but the length of time it took to receive our orders from the time they were placed... More

Here we go with my coworker again! On the morning of our exit out of Pittsburgh (Wednesday 09/24/14), we decided to stop at De Luca's for breakfast. You have to understand the back story. We were in town for a work conference which my coworker previously attended the year before. She also attended college in Pittsburg, PA in the late... More

In Pittsburgh you either eat breakfast at De Luca's or Pamela's. There is no decision for you. De Luca's has amazing diner food, giant portions at a good price. From the Mother or All Burritos to the various types of pancakes, De Luca's will make you never look at an IHOP again. It can be busy but the line outside... More

You'll find De Luca's right in the middle of the strip and it's the place to go for a great breakfast. I don't know if it's the food, or the location, or atmosphere, but you feel it is a special place. Not at all fancy, but what you would expect in a bustling urban setting. A lot of shops, and... We travel from NC to Pittsburgh ever year to watch the Steelers play and after my 8 hour drive all night we arrive in Pittsburgh at about 7 o'clock in the morning. It has become our tradition to make De Luca's our first stop before we shop on the Strip District. The food is always good and the service is... More

Fantastic diner/dive atmosphere, and the place was absolutely packed. Even so, the staff and kitchen was keeping up with everything. Can recommend the blueberry french toast and waffles, both were excellent. The California eggs benedict was also very good. Homefries were perfect - just the right mix of crunchy ones. Table next to us were raving about Huevos Rancheros. Just... More

The waffles! The food is delicious and they have anything and everything for Breakfast... Weather we are 2 or 10 there is always room, though on a Saturday morning there is a line...but worth it.
