Just okay

Went here on a Sunday morning before heading over to Pirate game. Got "in line" around 10am. Wait was approximately 30 to 45 minutes. Didn't. Mind the wait as it was a beautiful warm day and loved "people watching" as we waited. Inside was noisy and extremely busy. Serving staff should be wearing... read more

We needed to wait more than one hour to sit and to have breakfast. But really it was good to be there. Quick and good food. Very good coffee and helpful staff. Will recommend for sure for all but need to wait to have a seat.

If you are looking for a good place for breakfast in Pittsburgh I recommend DeLuca's in the Strip District. In business since 1950, make sure you get the Italian toast with your choice of eggs. Italian sausage is very good, too. Best time to go is during the week. Expect a line waiting for a table on the weekends.

This might get wordy; stay with me. I haven't been to Pittsburgh in years. We came for my wife's family reunion. I love a good breakfast place and have written about several. Many folks suggested Pamela's and I will get there next time. Today, however, we had to fly out. We were staying in Monroeville, the opposite side of the... More

This place is definitely worth all the hype and the wait! On a weekend morning, prepare to stand in line for at least 25-50 minutes. At DeLucas, instead of a hostess taking your name and the number of guests in your party, everyone just waits in a long line. The service isn't outstanding (especially during the weekend morning rush), but... More

This diner is known to make the best breakfast in Pittsburgh and that is exactly why I went there. I have been there a few times and it never disappoints. I've tried the savory and the sweet and everything was delicious. Recently I had the Italian omelette and it was huge but I are every bit of it because it... More

All the amazing stories you have heard about this place are absolutely true. Unbelievably tasty breakfast classics. Don't walk away because you see a long line. You will wait 30-45 minutes to get in here, but it is worth every minute. Family friendly. Bring cash. No plastic.

Ok, the food is great. The service however is not. How so you ask? Answer: Debbie. Three things: I order to go and my take out order was missing utensils. Two: I order a coffee and was not given one. Three: the employee Debbie, parked her white Ford Mustang directly in front of the building. I thought a business would... More

Four of us trekked to DeLuca's for breakfast on a Friday morning. The line was out of the door but we didn't have to wait long for a table in the rear. The atmosphere was busy, busy, busy and our waiter was going non-stop. The menu was extensive and traditional. My corned beef hash and eggs were done to a... More

I know, I know, it's the The Best Breakfast in Town, but there are many diners in the area and I ate at 3 of them including Delucas. And it was only one visit so I might be wrong but I didn't think it was "all that." I came with family. The line was very long. We were fine with... More
