Big line up but worth the wait!

We took hotel shuttle to the strip for Deluca's famous breakfast. There was a very large line up when we arrived but honestly, it goes very fast. The staff know exactly what they are doing and that is a huge plus. Breakfast portions are huge and the price was very decent. The food comes at you... read more

Doesn't matter what....betcha can't eat it ALL ! This is a great breakfast/lunch joint, and I mean joint. A classic diner-type restaurant where you can sit on a stool if you desire and watch the cooks creating massive plates of just good food. Really a Pittsburgh experience.....forget the fancy restaurants: get yourself up the Strip to DeLuca's and belly up... More

From the outside, the diner looked ordinary. It was an extensive menu but we narrowed down our (lunch) orders to the Double Burger, Blast Club Sandwich, California Turkey Wrap, and the Classic Cheeseburger Platter. I had the Blast Club Sandwich that was stacked with crisp bacon, lettuce, avocado, swiss cheese, tomato, and honey mustard mayo on marble rye bread. The... More

Friendly attentive wait staff, delicious home-style food. Yes, there is always a wait, but it's the 'Burgh, you'll make a friend in line and maybe learn something new. Remember, cash only.

We waited on the street for an hour on a Sunday morning for basically average diner fare. The food was good and the service was good, but the hour wait was just too much for good. One caveat, my wife's crepe was excellent! I got the Joe average omelet. We did meet a nice couple and their daughter while waiting... More

So I have to admit I was a little taken back by the atmosphere and the fact that you slide on the floor due to years of built up grease. However, the food proved to be very good and the service was top notch. This is cash only so make sure you have it available. Great breakfast spot.

Well worth the walk and or possible wait in line. Luckily I went at not so busy time and luckily I had cash. I tried the Steel city breakfast of champs. It came with eggs, bacon, potatoes, toast and I chose French Toast. I sat at the bar so I ordered quick and got my food quick. Most importantly it was hot. Good... More

This place was great. Right off the bat, the service: very friendly and patient. Their recommendations were great & we had our food in no time. The sundae breakfast was huge & yummy. The French Toast was with Italian bread -nice twist. Next time we're in town, we will feast again.

The line of customers wsiting to be seated was out the door on Saturday morning, but it moved quickly. DeLuca's is an old-fashioned diner with booths and a counter, and excellent breakfast options. The lunch fare is probably good, too, but everyone around me was sticking to breakfast. The pancakes are giant, the coffee is good, and the service is... More

The line was literally out the door. Fortunately, it moved fast. I had the Famous Breakfast Burrito. My girlfriend had the Hotcake Special. We enjoyed both.
