Tessaro's is the moderately priced restaurant I'd take friends visiting the city. The burgers are delicious and made as you request. Chicken breast sandwiches (usually a dry, tasteless experience IMHO) here are moist and actually good to eat, and they always have healthy sides in addition to wonderful home fries. This is not upscale Pittsburgh. You won't find great wine.... more

Visited with a business college who's familiar with the area. We were seated promptly, although I understand it gets very crowded on the weekend. I visited this establishment on recommendation from a local. I'm glad I did. The food was excellent; well presented, hot and loads of it. The server was friendly and attentive. I wish there were places like this in the U.K.! more
