My spouse and I dined at Luke Wholey’s Alaskan Grille on a Friday afternoon in late August 2014. Although we did not have a reservation, the restaurant accepts reservations via telephone. Luke Wholey’s is open for lunch and dinner on Tuesday through Sunday (closed on Monday). This restaurant is located in the Strip District of Pittsburgh, which is walkable from... More

Our party of three had an enjoyable lunch with prompt and courteous service. The food was great and plentiful. Try the baked Cod (with the marinara sauce) you won't be disappointed Niki our waitperson, was very knowledgeable on the menu options as well as the specials and offered that the kitchen was agreeable to preparation modifications. The down side was... More

This is a cool place that you can sit in or out and people watch. We ordered crab cake sandwich and lobster roll. The lobster roll was loaded with lettuce, tomatoes and etc when I said none of that stuff so I switched with my hubby. We also ordered the lobster fries those were awesome. We couldn't enjoy a beer... More

The lobster bisque fries top just about everything I've eaten recently. They are simply outstanding. The bloody mary with a fried softshell crab is also not to be missed, although the crab is better than the mary itself. The decor is stunning, and our service was far better than it is in most restaurants. The establishment's hours are weird, though... More

Great place to sit down to some memorial food while watching the world go by in Pittsburgh's strip district. The fish was very good and the Bloody Mary had a unique flavor. Nice, lightly breaded fish sandwich and great sweet potato fries. Give it a try; you will not be disappointed.

The Strip District in Pittsburgh is a great time mostly regardless of where you go, but Like Wholey's combines killer brews with awesome menu items for an all-around winner experience. We stopped in for drinks and appetizers. The calamari was among the best I've ever had... ever... and the ahi tuna appetizer was absolutely perfect. Great craft beer on tap.... More

We stopped by on a busy afternoon shopping in the " strip district " of Pittsburgh for a cool drink. They had a large selection of craft beers and the best Bloody Mary made with lots of fresh ingredients. We also had a few appetizers the winner was french fries covered with lobster bisque and bacon! Friendly and knowledgable staff.... More

We were actually met by the owner and chef when we walked in for a light lunch in the middle of a conference. The weather was great so the garage door walls were up, opening the place up to view the bustle of the Strip where people were out and about enjoying the weather and shopping. One of their specialties... More

Locals know Wholley's in the Strip is THE best market in town to buy fresh seafood. From the same family springs The Wild Alaskan Grille, with a broad menu of fresh fare, including varietal oysters, fresh lobster, unique fish and much more. Don't forget to ask for specials because there are many daily options that aren't listed. Great beer selection,... More

I had a business lunch in town right before I needed to go to the airport. I've never been to this place before but gave it a try. We ordered some appetizers and the lunch specials. One of the most unusual dishes on the menu were the Lobster Bisque French Fries (you gotta try them!) and they were delicious. My... More
