We were enjoying a nice morning in Pittsburgh's awesome strip district when we ducked into Luke Wholey's for lunch. As Pittsburghers, we know that Wholey's Seafood Market is the only place to buy seafood, but we'd never tried the restaraunt with the Wholey name. I cannot tell you how glad we are that we did! We were greeted on the... More

We wanted to like this place- the venerable Pittsburgh fish company Wholey had to have good food, right? Well, the food we could get, was very good. But it could not overcome really inept service and a lack of food and beverage items as shown on their website. Their signature Baja Shrimp and Dayboat Scallops? Sorry- no scallops available at... When in Pittsburgh you have to try Luke Wholey's Alaskan Grille. Went with family. They love oysters and this restaurant had many types to pick from and they were very fresh. The food is awesome. Service was great. Atmosphere was great. Make sure to try the Bloody Mary-best one I have ever had. Definitely would recommend.

We were heartily welcomed by Jerry. Service was very attentive and efficient. Has some delicious oysters that the waiter helped us choose from a myriad of options. I had the seafood trio and opted to have it over the salad instead of the rice and veggies. Nice portions but it's tough to get 3 different fish (shrimp, scallops and Escobar)... More

This was our first visit to Luke Wholey’s restaurant. There were 4 in our party and after checking the web site, we telephoned and left a message for a reservation. We did receive a call back the day of the reservation confirming. When we arrived at our 5pm reservation time, we gave our name and stated we did have a... More

We went two days after Christmas. We love going to the Strip, but usually we are at strip very early in the morning and always eat at DuLuca's. My brother-in-law & sister-in--law where home from San Diego. We wanted to eat lunch and stopped at Luke's. The food was very good! The cod sandwich was awesome and huge! It would... More

My husband and I stopped here for lunch and were very happy we did. The service was friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. My husband had a variety of oysters and the ahi tuna while I had the blackened baja shrimp. Everything was absolutely delicious! Each entree came with a fresh vegetable and jasmine rice with a sweet soy sauce. The portion... More

We stopped in for lunch while walking through the strip. Really good food for a decent price. Very good option if you want fish or a sandwich for lunch.

Having had a lunch at Luke Wholey's a while back, I convinced my wife and another couple to try the place for dinner. The food was very good. Each of us had a different fish entree, and everyone raved. We shared a dessert, and that too was very good. We are older than the crowd they aim for, so at... More

My wife and I came here for a Friday night dinner and had a fantastic time. We started dinner with drinks during their happy hour. $2 drafts! $5 glasses of wine. We ordered the mussels as an appetizer, they give you a ton and they were delicious. We ordered them in a coconut curry broth which added some nice flavor.... More
