Saw a show downtown and wanted to try something new for dinner. Super cute exterior of the building, was a warm night so front was all open and bar was very cool and decorated like Mardi Gras. We had a reservation in the back which was quiet and we could see the kitchen. Had an amazing Jalepeno Martini, unbelievable special... More

First time visit. Outside & inside of building was decorated like a New Orleans restaurant. I've been to New Orleans several times and it felt like I was back and not in Pittsburgh! Excellent service. Open kitchen. Large bar area. My husband is a meat eater but I'm vegetarian so I was excited that they offered a separate vegan &... More

This is a small restaurant with amazing food! I took my boyfriend here for his 24th birthday and I am SO glad I made reservations. It was a Saturday night in December when we went. With reservations we walked right in without having to wait a minute for our table. We were seated by the door where we heard people... More

I was excited to try NOLA on the Square for my BF's birthday. It had been added to the Vegan Pittsburgh's list of restaurants with vegan menus a while back. My boyfriend enjoyed the fried alligator appetizer. I could smell the spices from his dish and it smelled awesome. However, when my dish came for the Cajun rice it lacked... More

Linda loves the catfish, me, the red beans and rice. NOLA is about as close to New Orleans we get these days. We save a lot of money on airfares, as NOLA presents us with some great dishes from New Orleans, LA.

My husband and I decided to try something new for our date night and we are sooo glad we did! NOLA on the Square was absolutely delicious! We had the fried alligator as an appetizer and we were both impressed..very tender with a mouth watering sauce. I had the cajun grilled catfish, my husband had the jambalaya. My catfish was... More

Food was great and tastefully done-- however the service was not great. They seemed understaffed, they messed up our drink order (it took forever to get there) forgot one of our soups, and then gave it to us later with the main course and charged us full price. I will gladly give them another chance but they should have made... More

This place matched the square with the atmosphere. The food was very good and the drinks were great. It was a little strange being seated outside with no barrier and people were walking an inch from the table when the crowd picked up.

Service was professional and entertaining. Music was good. Food was delicious, large portions, and fair price. Short ribs with cheese grits was hugh! Must try the Fried Green Tomatoes. Short walk from Holiday Inn North Shote across 6th Street bridge. Nice bar and dark wood inviting decor.
