Four of us visited Nola for lunch on Sunday before heading to an afternoon baseball game. It was a beautiful sunny day so we were glad to be seated at an outdoor table with a nice view of bustling Market Square in Pittsburgh. We ordered drinks and lunch at the same time. Around 20 minutes later, 2 entrees arrived. No... More

We sat outside as it was a beautiful evening. I chose the salmon and it was superb. Everthing is ala carte which I am not a fan. Service was fine. Prices were a tad steep. There is a nice beer and wine selection.

Last weekend we had an early dinner at Nola's and sat at a high table just inside the door. All outdoor tables were taken and we didn't want to eat in the dining room or along the bar. Our server was excellent. Friendly, professional, willing to make recommendations, and flexible. Our Jambalaya was very spicy and a very large portion... More

Went for lunch; not speedy service but not slow either; it's a nice place so don't expect rush service. I read reviews about the service but I had no problem here. In any case, I had the gumbo ya-ya and gulf lump crab cake; both were terrific! Hope I get back to Pittsburgh to try some other items...

The menu was more interesting than the food. My husband had the special of the day, bolognese pasta, that was EXTREMELY salty. My gumbo was just average, but the mushroom panini was very good. Our other guest had the Heirloom tomato and wood roasted corn salad. The tomatoes were hothouse grown and bland, and it is the height of tomato... More

The food here is pretty good, on the expensive side for what it is. But I have nothing but good things to say about their Cajun Catfish and red beans and rice. Don't even get me started on the beignets! My only issue besides being $5-$10 overpriced is that they don't actually have a working telephone to order takeout which... More

I went to Nola's on July 27th with two other friends. We were really excited to go before a concert. I was really looking forward to dining there as the restaurant just reopened, and I heard positive comments from other friends. To say that all three of us were very disappointed would be an understatement. I can't remember when I... More

Stopped by for drinks and snacks. Chose outdoor seating on Market Square that had great views and breezes. Had Cajun shrimp appetizer that wax flavorful and pleasantly spicy. Drinks were cold and plentiful. A bit pricy but worth it.

My friend and I were in town and was told that this was a decent place to go for a drink. So we got there and it was busy, but we got a seat at the bar. We sat there for a half-hour waiting to be acknowledged, even just a hi. We got nothing at all. The bartenders (a good... More

This restaurant has just reopened and I am so glad I was able to eat there! We were able to be seated right away and began with fried green tomatoes. They were very good. Next I had the crab cake sandwich special and my husband did a soup/sandwich combo which was pulled pork and gumbo. The portions were generous and... More
