Why would you go here when you can get a better dog at Wiener World or Yovi's. The dogs are not that good and way too expensive. They also do not have fries. Ambience also is poor.

I was very skeptical of this joint before I went and am very glad that my girlfriend made me go. She is a vegetarian and I was surprised that she wanted to go to a hot dog place. It turned out that they have pretty good veggie options. I loved the French fries and the options that you could get... More

Be sure to visit the original Franktuary in the basement of the Episcopal Church. You have your choice of bread/bun, type of hotdog, and then the toppings. Prices are reasonable, and your dollars go to help the Episcopalian brothers (local charity). Seating is limited, so get there early. AMEN!

I'm confused as to some of the other reviews of the Franktuary. This spot on Oliver Ave. has no fries on the menu, no ceramic hot dog dishes or draft selections, and there certainly was no hostess at this church basement location! It's just a little fast service hot dog joint with a few vegetarian & vegan selections on the... More

A friend and I stopped by the Franktuary last Friday night on our way through town. It was a last minute decision, but there wasn't a line to be seated and my friend highly recommended it. We were seated at a high boy table by a friendly hostess and were welcomed by a cheerful server. I ordered a bottled cherry... More

I've been to this delicious hot dog spot twice in the past few months, and I cannot stop raving about it! Both times in Lawrenceville. The Texan was my first hot dog experience at Franktuary and it was by-far the best frankfurter I've had. Delicately placed on a small ceramic hot dog dish, this dog had the perfect amount of... More

But a great business model. Open for just a few hours daily, they serve gourmet hot dogs in a casual but fun setting. They have an entire board dedicated to their comments. All dogs available vegetarian, including a chili dog made with vegan chili. Friendly, homey service. So nice i had to go twice.

Franktuary is tucked away INSIDE a church/cathedral, which makes it difficult to find, and the Web site doesn't quite spell that out. However, the dogs were very yummy, the service quick, and the atmosphere unique.

I used to love coming here but I can't justify going anymore. Just too many negatives. One time I paid for a specialty dog (the Mexican dog which is no longer on the menu and had mango salsa and guacamole) and I was served a dog with just salsa on it. When I asked for the guac, I was told... More
