Inventing different toppings for hot dogs isn't something new. Overcharging for this product is the norm. The size of the dog is the same size as at PNC Park except PNC PARK offers a natural casing jumbo dog for only $1.00 more than this place. It's a must be scene for the Tattoo Hipster crowd. Enjoy!!

Everything here was just average. You can get a much better hotdog at the "O" in Oakland. The "O" also has the best French fries in Pittsburgh.

Maybe this is not the best location to write a review of the Food Truck associated with Franktuary but we did not see another appropriate place. Pittsburgh's recent fascination with Food Trucks is a good thing if the quality is there to support the industry, but on our one experience with this particular food truck it was not an experience... I am a rookie vegetarian, so I was a little skeptical about trying the Veggie hot dog (vegan tofu) at the Lawrenceville location but it was very good. It tasted just like a regular frank. I discovered another item on the menu though which was crazy-good: The (fried) Pittsburgh Perogi! (On the menu listed as "From our Friar"). This is... More

Great hot dog shop. Has some different toppings to top the hot dog with. Prices are reasonable and the employees are always friendly.

Why would you go here when you can get a better dog at Wiener World or Yovi's. The dogs are not that good and way too expensive. They also do not have fries. Ambience also is poor.

I was very skeptical of this joint before I went and am very glad that my girlfriend made me go. She is a vegetarian and I was surprised that she wanted to go to a hot dog place. It turned out that they have pretty good veggie options. I loved the French fries and the options that you could get... More

Be sure to visit the original Franktuary in the basement of the Episcopal Church. You have your choice of bread/bun, type of hotdog, and then the toppings. Prices are reasonable, and your dollars go to help the Episcopalian brothers (local charity). Seating is limited, so get there early. AMEN!

I'm confused as to some of the other reviews of the Franktuary. This spot on Oliver Ave. has no fries on the menu, no ceramic hot dog dishes or draft selections, and there certainly was no hostess at this church basement location! It's just a little fast service hot dog joint with a few vegetarian & vegan selections on the... More

A friend and I stopped by the Franktuary last Friday night on our way through town. It was a last minute decision, but there wasn't a line to be seated and my friend highly recommended it. We were seated at a high boy table by a friendly hostess and were welcomed by a cheerful server. I ordered a bottled cherry... More
