Had a Dr appt just up the road so we decided to stop for lunch. Hard to get a wheelchair in when crowded, but manageable. Staff was very friendly. Can't give an honest review on wait time because they were pretty crowded. Food was hot and fresh. I had the Reuben special with potato pancakes. The potato pancakes were great... More

Long wait Poor food Not worth time or mone spent. We wanted a good hot breakfast while visiting with our son who just started college at University of Pittsburgh. We are not familiar with Pittsburgh restaurants so rely on Trip Advisor reviews. This restaurant was touted by some as great and by Guy F. of Food Network. So we decided... More

We dined here for the first time for breakfast, and loved it! The food preparation did not take too long, and everything we ordered was cooked to perfection. We also loved the atmosphere; it felt like a true diner. Our waitress served us quickly and returned several times to ask if we needed anything. We were very pleased with the... More

We went here after reading reviews and seeing it was a triple D stop. The wait was about a half hour for breakfast. When I stirred my coffee I pulled up a straw wrapper in it, when I got my second cup it was the worst tasting coffee I ever had. I got the Guy's version of the Jumbot and... More

Popular local spot for great breakfast. Pancakes are fluffy and tasty. Often very crowded. A go to spot for great traditional breakfast.

I came here a few years ago and loved it. So we were in town again and decided to stop again. It's still great food. A very popular place with a crowded seating area that somehow doesn't feel crowded when you're sitting at your table. Very friendly staff, prompt and speedy service. Lots of people waiting but we got in... More

Management response:

Cary - thank you for you review. We are glad that you all enjoyed your meals and our waitstaff took good care of you. We would like to apologize for the uncomfortableness of the blazing sun Sunday morning - unfortunately our awning was torn in a windstorm we had last week and we were unable to lower the awning. It's... More

We had breakfast at the Dor-Stop last week. Unfortunately it was not a good as it could/should have been. My wife and I both had eggs of some sort. Hers were scrambled mine were in an omelet. In both cases the eggs were rubbery .... not nice and soft and moist as you would like. Not to be picky ....... More
