If you're looking for a great pancake/french toast and all things AMAZING breakfast…this was a winner. We had to wait a little while to get in and though it was crowded, the customer service was great and the food was excellent. The variety of pancakes was awesome…it was a winner in my book.

When my 81 year old dad arrive literally 2 minutes before me they refused to seat him because I hadn't arrived yet. When he explained that there were several open tables (4) and that I was merely parking my car - they still refused to seat him. The food was blah - runny eggs but Krispy bacon. For a greasy... More

This really is a great little diner!!! The place is small, but they turn the tables quickly, so a packed lobby gets seated pretty quickly. The servers are friendly and funny, but they don't wait on dbags that are talking on their cell phones, I luv it!! Seriously people...your not that important, hang up! The food is very good to... I've lived in Pittsburgh for 56 year and the food you get at the Dor-Stop you can get in a hundred other places in Pittsburgh. It's nothing special at all.

Had to try this place after my son found it on Triple D. I took a friend for a brunch birthday on a Sunday. I called ahead, but they do not take reservations or call aheads. We arrived at 11:30am and it was a 25min wait. Not bad and that's what we were told after we put our name it.... More

What a great spot to grab a casual meal! It is a new all time favorite. Breakfast was simply awesome! Expect to wait for your table, though...word has spread! :-) Wow! West coast Benedict was particularly outstanding.

This is an excellent example of your traditional local diner. You're not going to find anything exotic or noteworthy here, expect regular diner food in a diner atmosphere surrounded by locals. But it most likely will be a warm enjoyable experience.

The Dor-Stop is a great family run restaurant in the South Hills of Pittsburgh. It's only open for lunch and Breakfast. The breakfast selections are great-especially the pancakes. Try the apple cinnamon pancakes fro a tasty delight. Prices are reasonable and the staff is a lot of fun as well. Good luck getting in on the weekends as lines stretch... More

While in Dormont PA over the Christmas holidays, my wife and I had to stop in the Dor-Stop restaurant to check out all the Food Channel hype. The restaurant is relatively small and their were people waiting but we were able to get a table immediately, since we were a party of only 2. So there is our first clue,... More

Go during the week when it's not so crowded - DDD made getting into this place on weekends next to impossible. Walnut (might be pecan, I can't never tell the difference between the two) french toast is so good! You are rushed a little bit when they're busy. Expect to be in and out on Saturdays and Sundays.
