ice cream

Smooth, rich Ice cream in a variety of flavors. I chose chocolate, of course! I plan to return the next time I am in town.

We tried Dave and Andy's because it was close to the area of downtown Pittsburgh we were visiting and because it supposedly has some of the best ice cream in Pittsburgh. It's in the heart of Pitt Panther country, so the neighborhood was teeming with college age folks. Parking isn't easy (but it's downtown Pittsburgh) but we found a lot... More

We stopped in recently for the first time. We were not impressed, expected much more based on all the hype surrounding this place. We tried chocolate chip, it had very few tiny chocolate chips. And cake batter which was too sweet for our liking (maybe a downfall of that particular flavor). The waffle cones were freshly made. Would definitely not... More

This place is pretty good. The ice cream is homemade but nothing too fancy, just a good old fashioned ice cream shop. Prices are a little high.

Truly homemade ice cream taste. Very unique flavors. My husband ginger and I had chocolate almond. Yum! They have homemade waffle cones. Nice walk from the Universities.

A moderately good range of flavors in ice cream and frozen yoghurt. Nothing too adventurous and a bit lacking on fruit flavors but then they don't claim to be a gelateria

Great selection on homemade ice cream and yogurt. You walk past the cooking waffle cones as you walk in. I had the low fat butter pecan. Delicious.

I visited here recently because I was in the mood for ice cream. The workers were very kind, and the ice cream was delicious! There is a variety of flavors and sometimes there are unique and new flavors. I recommend going here for good ice cream!

You can't go wrong at Dave & Andy's. The ice cream always tastes fresh and they have an abundance of awesome and unique flavors. If they have the white chocolate cinnamon habanero when you're there, you have to at least try it! They do custom ice cream cakes where you get to pick your ice cream, cake, and icing flavors.... Oh my, this is THE spot for homemade ice cream in Pittsburgh! They have so many flavors, it was hard to choose, luckily they let you try and sample some. The first night I ordered a small with two flavors: salted caramel and chocolate chip cookie dough....did not disappoint. The next day I ordered a small with salted caramel and... More
