My husband was told about cheap date night at Legume by a colleague. It's the first Wednesday of every month. We didn't know what to expect, but thought we'd give it a try. First - it's $50/couple and includes one glass of house wine per person. You can obviously order more at an extra cost if you want. The menu... More

For Pittsburgh, this is a nice restaurant, and many people have told me it is one of their favorites in the 'burgh. That is the most positive thing I can say. Our server seemed aloof and rushed us a bit through our cocktail/appetizer time and disappeared during entree time. The soup and salad our party had were great, the cocktails... More

Overall, this is a good restaurant with nice atmosphere and tasty dishes. It is good for work related get together, as service is good. Overall, I would say that price to amount/quality ratio is not great, therefore I am giving it a 3. Main courses cost around $25 and up and do not even come with a side. If you... More

Ok this place is a treasure. Admittedly a small lunch menu but their dedication to fresh and local source shows. Lunch was fantastic. Don't skip the desert! The chocolate mousse cake thing was insane! Quite possibly the best desert involving chocolate ever!

This is an extraordinary restaurant for fine dining. Not just legumes by any means. Full meet menu of the best quality. Farm to table, wonderful desserts, very good wine list, fantastic service. Danny Meyer would be proud to call this restaurant his own and the warm welcome extended there is the first taste you will get when you walk in... More

This was my first visit to Legume since it had taken over the site of the former More's and former Nino's. The remodel job is very nice, very clean and open feeling, probably should have been done a long time ago. The wood grain table tops are very nice, however I would have liked a placemat. The chairs are obviously... More

Food was delicious, well prepared and presented. Server was excellent. Only problem was that, on a Saturday, at 8:45 pm, they had run out of 2 dishes in the menu.

Everything we tried was very good. The service, vibe and of course the food are in the highest standards we experienced in Pittsburgh. I took the burger and wife had the kielbasa and pirogy. Both had fantastic flavors, the good food deserves a good write up :)

The staff is done to earth and helpful. They explained the "shrub" drink my daughter got, my wife's cocktail and their unique succotash. All was a described and all was delicious. Try the pickled veggie appetizer. Scottish salmon was done just right. Pasta with ratatouille was tasty too.
