The service is impeccable as is the food, making the ambiance unforgettable. The wine selections are so vast they are overwhelming to the less versed, hence the knowledgable staff welcomes your request for assistance. Some may call it pricey, still worth every penny for such an enriching dining experience.

Had a celebration dinner last night with my girlfriend, her son and my sons. Had a gift certificate from my team at work. I admit I have written tepid reviews on Cap Grill in Pittsburgh before and have had a bias to Ruths Chris but last night my mind was changed. Service by Tim and team was excellent as always.... More

Although the bartenders were excellent and very friendly, the atmosphere was a bit stuffy and not a place my friend and I would visit again for drinks. I would definitely go back for dinner as the food is very good.

We went to this restaurant on Friday(08/15/14) evening to take advantage of restaurant week as well as the generous pour event. The couple we went with had been to this location multiple times and have said as far as service goes, this was their worst experience EVER. The food was pretty good other than a few things being incorrect. They... More

We often dine at The Capital Grille in Pittsburgh and are never disappointed. The quality of the food is consistent, as is the attentive service. Our visit tonight was no exception. Kevin Dobrowsolski and Cherry delivered the usual outstanding service and the quality of food was wonderful. We were disturbed by the dress of other patrons as we have come... More

I was really looking forward to trying this place after reading the reviews of it. How disappointing. I am a woman traveling alone, so maybe that had something to do with it. I arrived and was seated near a larger party of diners who were dressed to the nines. I was in casual clothing. I got the strong sense that... More

We dined at the Capital Grille on a Sunday evening with friends. Wait staff was knowledgeable and friendly. Cocktails were good- I had a 601 martini which has olives stuffed with anchovies! My steak Oscar was delicious. A filet topped with jumbo lump crabmeat served with bearnaise sauce and asparagus. Atmosphere is elegant, white tablecloth service with dimmed lighting. I... More

Went there for a birthday celebration. Everything was perfect from the time we walked in until the time left. Great food, drinks and staff. Looking for a great experience? Treat Yo'self.

We went here with friends for my wife's birthday. I go here regularly for work functions but it was the first time any of them had been to a Capital Grille. The atmosphere, service, and food is amazing(especially lobster mac and cheese) as you expect at any of the big steak houses. However they went over the top for her... More
