This restaurant has been closed and with good reason: the food was so-so, the service was amateurish and the bar was completely out of wine.

So sorry to see the lights off at Mamma D's. They certainly gave it 150%. I have eaten there several times and unfortunately it never knocked my socks off. I never will understand how a true Italian family couldn't get their spaghetti sauce right. But then, I'm not Italian. The very best to this family with a heart of gold... More

My wife and I had dinner at Mamma D's for the first time on a Saturday night. The ambience is very romantic with fresh flowers on every table. The service is friendly and professional. The food is outstanding and quite different from the "everyday" italian fare at the chain restaurants (you know which ones!). I would highly recommend Mamma D's.... More

Our daughter was married on one of the hottest days in July, at a barn! Mama D's catered the event and they did an OUTSTANDING job! From the beginning, Mike, Lou and Liz worked hard with us to make this day special. They personalized the menu to reflect the Italian and Cuban heritages of the bride and groom. Everything was... For authentic italian dishes that you'd never be able to make at home, Mamma D's is the answer...incredible mushroom ravioli in a rose gravy, awesome caesar salad, and even a great kid's menu. All at very affordable prices! Don't forget to try the homemade wine, especially the Chianti! It's like nothing you can buy, and a great accompanyment to any... More

My Girlfriend and I Sat at the bar,and ate at Mamma D's Yesterday,Jan 27th,and had a great time. The salads, with house made dressings over micro greens were very tasty. The crusty bread w/seasoned dipping oil,is a nice touch. My girlfriend wanted to substitute the pasta that came with the Bolognese ,to a different type, and there was no problem doing that.My eggplant Parmesan, over al... My boyfriend and I go to Mamma D's at least three or four times a month - it's our go-to restaurant! We have so many favorites on the menu - but I have to totally recommend anything with bolognese sauce and the Braised Short RIbs (our other top favorites - Eggplant parmesean and the fried calamari). The staff is always... More

Let me preface this review by saying that we have eaten at this restaurant at least a half a dozen times over the last couple of years and it was enjoyable. That is because the owner Louie has always been gracious to me and my family. However, we learned that Louie and his partner are away on a cruise this... More

Mamma D's in Pipersville (PA) is a unique experience. The owners and staff are friendly and professional. The food and beverage selections are unique and very good. Vineyard with house made wine are old world vintages. Many beer choices are also a refreshing attraction. A variety of food choices accomodates a range of palates, Luigi Desiato's friendly sense of humor... More
