We lived in Chester Springs for 13 years and would often have either lunch, dinner or late night snacks at The Epicurean. We often return to this area and looked forward to returning to the Epicurean this time as well for a great meal in a cozy atmosphere, and although it has only been two years since our last visit... The food here is excellent. Diverse menu-Cajun, Italian, or both. Plenty of spicy entrees but others as well. Service was a disaster. Older woman seated us at 6 pm on a Saturday nite. We were first diners there. She ended up being our waitress as well. We finished dinner and sat there waiting for our table to be cleared for... More

Good evening, my name is Tom Mastronardo and I am the owner of Fenice Creolo. I wanted to thank you for your review on TripAdvisor, and I also wanted to take the time to apologize for the service you received. The actions were unprofessional and not something I take lightly. We put a lot of effort into making our food... More

We went back when it used to be The Epicurean; huge disappointment. Such an improvement since Fenice Creolo has moved in. The restaurant has a great atmosphere with that n'awlins feel. The bar area was opened up and widen to create a space that flows and makes much more sense. The food is delicious every single time. We've been there... More

The Creole food is excellent ( I had the shrimp & crawfish Etouffee , but that being said, who ever owns this place could really take it to another level. There is really no atmosphere, no music, the bar is stark, they didn't have ingredients for a basic drink we ordered and the topper - no wine list. Sorry, that's... More

Talk about a fun dinner and fun staff, while dining with good friends. Just back from New York City (and I pride myself on Manhattan dining) The food was not only terrific, but the vibe of Fenice Creolo feels just right and is perfect for either a drink and snacks at the bar on a Friday night (which we had),... Atmosphere is nice. The cuisine is really sad. There is no delicate touch to be found with the heat or seasoning on the cajun end--overstated is an understatement--and the italian flare is right from a can. Service was alright but our appetizer and dessert were inedible and we were charged for both regardless. Definitely a one and done.

About the only thing that was edible was the gumbo, which was OK. My wife was unable to cut her chicken piccata. How you can make chicken breast that tough is beyond me. I tasted the sauce that came with it. It was more or less tasteless. This one probably won't be around for long. We were in there at... More

Awful, awful, awful!!! Food was bland, mushy, undercooked- awful. Been there for lunch, and another time for dinner. Please do not waste your time going here- not creole, more like mush. This is not Louisiana good, nor is it flavorful creole cooking. I don't know what it was- the only thing that was good was the bread and they buy... More

Excellent service, friendly staff and great food!! Loved the voodoo shrimp, just the most amazing sweet/spicy combo... I used my bread to wipe up the remaining sauce it was so good! Crab cakes were excellent and were reasonably priced! Well worth venturing out of the "main drag" of phoenixville to visit this hidden gem!
