Intimate slow dining experience

This is a hidden gem! The menu is fresh daily and it is wonderful for an intimate dinner. The chef prepares your dish personally in the open kitchen and it is meant to be a dining experience. You will be welcomed to enjoy your dinner for 1.5 to 2 hours. BYOB makes it nice. We brought a bottle... read more

Don't expect to get in and out of Maize quickly. This is not "fast food", it is excellent food! Their menu is so unique and the food is just simply amazing. Delicious from start to finish. This is a real gem in the middle of a town lacking in good restaurants.

The food here is of excellent quality, preparation and flavor but with meager portions. Preparation is excellent but with VERY VERY SLOW delivery, understandably with a single chef preparing meals for about 25-30 (?) patrons at capacity. A rating of 3 is based solely on the wait time for receiving our order. Wait staff when we were there was one... More

We traveled about an hour from our home to try this restaurant with friends that live close by. We Have heard all good things. Small place on a little street - byob. Unique menu. If you want tasting menu- it's a surprise and whole table needs to get so we didn't go in that direction. I had tagliatelle pasta first... More

That quiet Perkasie PA would have a world class restaurant. We have eaten at a few as good, but none better in NYC, LA, London, and another dozen cities known for great restaurant fare. Everything is made fresh, yes everything. So expect to spent sometime there. But trust me, it's worth the wait. Bring two bottles of vino. Sweetie and... More

We ate at Maize for the first time upon the recommendation of our daughter, who has eaten there several times. The food was delicious with an unusual menu and unique combinations. We were served spiced popcorn with olive oil that was wonderful, followed by warm homemade biscuits with honey and butter. Appetizers, entrees and dessert were all delicious, especially the... More

Last week to celebrate my birthday, my sister invited me out to dinner at the Maize in Perkasie Pa. She said it was her favorite restaurant even though it was an hour from her home. I drove from Maple Shade N.J., for me it was a long drive but the food was so good I now have decided that it... More

We love living in a town that supports a restaurant like Maize! Matt is a great chef who takes pride in every dish that comes out of his kitchen. It is a small place and can get quite noisy but the food is an event not to be missed. When you eat at Maize it is your whole evening. Each... More

Went with a group of 5. Was warned about the wait but we were ok with that since we were doing our own "wine tasting". The food was great, the service ok. The place was packed. My greatest problem is that I really had to leave often to outside to get some fresh air (even though it was cold outside)... More

This was our third visit to Maize, and the food was quite delicious. Their menu variety is the best part about this restaurant's experience. The creativity is apparent in the ever-changing, seasonal menu. Beware, there is one glaring downside: the length of time spent at Maize. This restaurant is a small-scale, locally-source menu. For fans of farm-to-table, this might be... More
